Mercedes Recommended Settings | Video Manual - 1 | Most 2014 - 2019 + + models!

Do you own Mercedes? When you buy a new vehicle, the first task you have to do - is to adjust your Settings. But even if you've never done it, don't worry - it's never too late! In this video tutorial, I'm going to show you exactly how to do it - in details. Depending on your Mercedes model, all the settings can be adjusted just under 15 minutes or so, but once you customize everything to your likings - you'll never have to change it again in the future. Unless you want to tweak something minor!
Although I demonstrate some different scenarios, you really need to check with your own car if you have the shown features or perhaps you have some more. The goal of this video tutorial is to make sure your car behaves - the way you like! Even though your particular car may have slightly different settings, the purpose of this DIY video is for you to understand how to control it yourself, without going to the dealership every time you need to change something.

Watch my "C-Class tutorial Part 2". Most of the "how to use" features explained there are very similar to GLE and SLK, so you may as well watch the whole video. I shown how to use the memory positions around 7th minute of that video or so, and it's pretty much the same as in both of your cars. Your model can be updated via software update, but you have to bring your car to your local MB dealership. On the newest MB cars, it can be updated via over-the-air.

Hello! Awesome channel! I have watched every video and am excited to try all these features. I have a 2016 C450 AMG. How can I change the start mode of comfort into sport + everytime I start the car? Also, the manual states I should have an AMG menu in the instrument cluster, but I do not see it. Did my car not come with it?

No, you can't. If it was possible - MPG ratings of your car would be much different and not in line with EPA guidelines... forcing manufacture to make smaller and weaker (but less fuel thirsty) engines. Remember that Sport+ disengages the ECO stop and go. At first, I wanted also to disengage it permanently... but after using it for the last 3 years, I actually like it, because it saved me thousands of dollars! Plus, the more you use it - the smoother it becomes. Sport+ is not always suitable for every day driving and wastes a lot more gas. Also technically C450 was not an AMG car, until it was replaced with C43 AMG. Although both models are extremely close, C450 was not under AMG umbrella, and therefore didn't have AMG badge, neither AMG menu.

Very informative, Thank you. One question the easy/exit I have selected on but the seat does not retract nor does the steering wheel move up out of the way. What did I miss, ideas please!

If the seat is already moved almost all the way back, and steering moved almost all the way up - the system will not work. There should be enough space to function. Also make sure the feature is selected. On some models it's very misleading if it's on or off. Try to turn on and see if it works and also try to turn it off and see if it works.

Turn the sound all the way down or hit a mute button. Another way is to switch from Radio to another source, like Bluetooth audio, for example, and then don't stream anything.

Rear seat entertainment should not interfere with a driver and other passengers. That's why it comes with its own remote, screen and headphones.

Door close or door lock? MB stopped automatic locking a long time ago, because many people locked their keys inside the car. But you can lock the doors from anywhere using MercedesME app on your cell phone.

You have to turn it ON, as I showed in this video. It's easy to mistake ON/OFF. Try both.

Thanks for your help, I finally have managed the radio! Do you have any advice on auto dimming headlights? Ours will not dim.i took the car to the MB dealer twice, they could only get it to high beam automatically on a dark country road, not so good for traffic.

I don't think you can dim headlights. Are you asking about the interior dimmer?

@@MBZMaster No, it;s actually the high beams on the headlights. In the automatic setting it's supposed to turn on when no traffic is coming, and off so as not to blind oncoming traffic.

@@rbcrain2469 I believe automatic high beams come up when there is no upcoming traffic AND also poor outside lighting. You can also override from automatic to just turning the headlights manually and then switching high beams manually.

Do you mean Manual shifting to Automatic? What year is your wagon?

The car is 2016 E220 estate. When put in the manual mode, it stays there for a time, then switches itself back into auto. If it is possible, I would like the option of staying in manual until I decide to switch back into auto. Many thanks for replying to me .

@@jodauth3319 The difference between the clutchless manual and normal manual stick-shift, is Automatic shifting BLOCKS higher gear, instead of ENGAGING the higher gear. So if you put in 3rd gear - it will block all other higher gears but will use all 3 gears below. So, once you engage the highest gear... it will automatically switch to Automatic... since there are no gears to block anymore. Except for some models, where you can switch the transmission into the dedicated "M" mode.

I just took possession of a 2019 C300 Cabriolet. On the easy exit setting, I selected steering wheel and seat, but when I exit or enter vehicle, only the steering wheel goes up, the seat remains stationary. I made sure the seat position for my personal settings (memory) is not all the way back. Any suggestions short of doing the factory reset?

Depending on where you live, country or State, the seat moving feature might be disabled due to some previous legal issues. I believe that some kid got injured playing on the rear seat. Some places this feature is allowed again because of the technology advancements. Also if your seat is already moved very far, not necessarily all the way, it's not going to work. There should be an ample space behind. Also make sure there is no any obstacles or resistance from anything behind or under the seat.

Somehow my side view mirrors stopped folding when I touch the handles to lock my car. Videos show going to settings and finding convenience to turn on the feature but I cannot find convenience on my 2018 c300. Please help.
