The whine sound isn't isolated, you just can't hear the other instruments from the funky worm song because the 'more bounce to the ounce' sample is mixed louder, covering the quieter instruments in the other sample. If you listen to the bridge part where it's just the funky worm sample, you can hear the other instruments.
