They can be expensive, but from ebay they are pretty cheap and no biggy if you need to cut your losses sometimes, still hurts lol.

You just keep putting out great videos for the DIY’s out there. Just something for your consideration. I’m sure I have seen similar fittings like the mc4 wire connection and I think the metal fitting , the u shaped section needs to be slid over the insulation and crimped. The circular section is then crimped on the bare wire. The reason I’m assuming is it gives a stronger resistance of failure in tension.

@@frednurks8528 Thanks for the compliment 👍You’re right about the MC4 connectors. The U-shaped metal fitting should be crimped over the insulation to provide strain relief, while the circular section should be crimped on the bare wire to ensure a secure electrical connection. I appreciate the suggestion and will definitely keep it in mind .Actually I just picked up myself the proper crimp tool kit for these connectors Thanks for watching take care👍🍻

@@EFFICIENTSELF Can you share where you got that tool from if low price, I could do with the right one too.

If you mean the ferrule crimper it was the tool and the ferrules kit as well I got it from here www.ebay.com.au/itm/394515539328?var=663063685533 but I finally purchased the proper crimper for the mc4 plugs and that was cheaper than the ferrules kit www.ebay.com.au/itm/175854479427 hope this helps and thanks for watching 👍🍻

Thanks so much for your video. I’m a newbie when it comes to solar. Is there a reason why I couldn’t remove the mc4 and replace with an anderson, rather than adding an adapter into the mix? Thanks again for the info and demonstration. 😊

You can remove the mc4 and replace with Anderson plugs , no problems at all 👍 . Glad the video helped and thanks for watching 👍🍻

@@EFFICIENTSELF cheers Dino, still at Geurie, the brides home from England, she put a bar on the bank card thinking it was only hers,I went to use my and it got swallowed,so I’m waiting on a new card before moving 😂😂. Coming out of Sydney she also grabbed the wrong bag ,exact same bag and tags just different name and phone number ,she rang the lady and she had the brides bag but didn’t know until the bride rang her. So the next day we drove to Bathurst and they drove from Sydney to Bathurst for the great bag exchange 😂😂. If we eventually get our shirt together we are going to Goomburra for the legends for charity event and then heading north. Stay strong 👍👍❤️🇦🇺
