McAllen City Police honor Jackson Elementary students | McAllen ISD

City of McAllen Police Officers recognized two young students on their first day of school with a Wall of Blue Honor Guard. Their father was killed in the line of duty last year.
This happened at McAllen ISD's Jackson Elementary on August 23, 2021. The officers lined up as 2nd grader Brianna Garza and Pre-kinder student Ethan Garza walked into the building. Their father (Officer Edelmiro Garza Jr.) was killed in the line of duty on July 11, 2020.
The police in McAllen care deeply about children and families. They work closely with McAllen ISD Police Dept. to help keep everyone safe.
