McAlmont + Butler, 'Tonight' @ King's Head, Crouch End, 24.11.17

I ashamedly had never seen McAlmont and Butler and I have fallen for them hard over these past few years, SO many years after they'd been active. Finally, the opportunity came to see them live and it was to be an intimate pub gig, very informal. Well, it has become my top show of 2017! I know the recorded songs inside out but there were plenty of unrecorded gems that I didn't know and they all filled me with joy and passion.
Here's the sublime 'Tonight' off their first album. I love the little nod Bernard gives David when he looks over at him. The relationship between these two, and between Bernard and the other musicians was familiar yet electric.
