That wave off maneuver and roll is a dangerous move in the Tomcat. At 3:35 you can see the left engine afterburner surge a bit. It comes off and on again. That maneuver caused a couple f-14 crashes.

Yes the TF-30 was very prone to compressor stalls if the airflow into the engine inlet became turbulent; especially during a yawing moment. @@DanielGomez-gw4kt It is not the F-14D Super Tomcat because it lacks the dual chin TCS / IRST pod and has the Martin Baker GRU-7A ejection seat as opposed to the NACES (Naval Aircrew Common Ejection Seat) that only the D has. It is not a F-14A because this one is powered by the “Big Engines” (General Electric F110-GE-400 afterburning turbofans) as opposed to the Pratt & “Quitney” (TF30-P-414A) that powered the F-14A and also lacks the glove vanes of the F-14A, so this can only be the F-14A+ (redesignated F-14B) or the F-14B Upgrade depending on when the “Bombcat” program debuted operationally.
