An entertaining, thought provoking and lovely 90 minutes. The game is very fortunate to have the MCC as a custodian but also now as an agent of positive change.

Cricket has got some intelligent progressive lovers across globe. Its nice to see Stephen Fry speaking against racism on behalf of MCC, English Cricket & World Cricket / Sport in general.

@Mck Idyl Yeah you need majority involved in any specific dimension of life to be progressive to bring change on mass scale and to make sports & life in general completely progressive. But Majority doesn't improves in a sudden it needs sum of some individuals to come up and to bring change.

Brilliant talk from Stephen fry, as you expect from him. The follow up question and answer round seems to avoid the hot topic of Racism and plans of Rebuilding.

As he says “the commitment is not the deed” and this will all amount to nowt if all of cricket fails to hold the ECB and the Counties to account every day from hereon in. Now, if we can just change society whilst we’re at it…..

To be honest , he made some fair points . Change is hard and often, at the time, can be unpleasantly unpopular . At the same time , it can be slow as well. No one is debating; there is plenty of work to be done in the area of Inclusitivity. The Brow beating was not needed . For that is what it became halfway through. Which is a shame 😕. One can bring to light an issue without brow beating the audience over it. 🤔 That's my take anyway

I think 20:20 is killing the red ball game actually. England's performance down under was shameful.

It was a great speech apart from championing the gold digging ex Yorkshire cricketer. He was dropped for a reason - he wasn't good enough. Must cricket employ no hopers because they're "diverse"?
