I don't like Ace Race as much as a lot of other people do, but it can be a great game to watch a perfect run of!

Even tho Techno still has record of fastest Clouds map, Antfrost and Illumina are both catching up. Their record is just 2.2 second behind, and if they train more, they are gonna beat him soon.

I could see either one of them or Pete (who wasn't in mcc 11) or Quig (who wasn't in mcc 18 but holds the second fastest S1 lap) taking it if Clouds is played again. New tridents make some parts harder though, which might make it impossible.

You do know they changed the clouds map right? They've added way more skips now and it would be easy to break technos record so it wouldn't even be impressive.

@@blacawi People just need to watch how ManWithRaft does it in testing, and replicate it as well as you can (I think Raft's best time was before the trident-bump fix). He does something a little different after the water boost segment, using the elytra instead of speed boosts. I think Illumina may have tried this in the most recent event where Clouds was played, though not to the same level of well versed precision Raft has, since he's a tester and has played the map like a hundred times.

@@Nytr0gen_ I think I know which skip you mean (I believe it was widely used in mccr), but don't think that makes up for not being able to hold the trident in the water (which will cost at least 1-2 seconds when getting out of the water tunnel alone).

@@anjie4197 they didn’t change the clouds map,they just added new decorations,these skips existed during techno’s run as well it’s just that no one ever tried them.Its still very impressive since some parts are harder to do with the new tridents

quig happens to hold the fastest lap Ever on space race, he’s the only person to hold a fastest lap on any maps that’s not ManWithRaft (he holds fastest laps on the other maps + fastest completion on all of them)

I thought someone found a screenshot of Raft's actual fastest lap? Wasn't Raft's actual fastest around ~1:30 as opposed to Quig's 1:36? I could be wrong, but I think in the reddit post where ManWithRaft was discussed as the best player in the history of MCC, someone in the comments noted that the time displayed as Raft's best in the post was actually not the best one he'd achieved. I could be wrong though, so correct me if you know otherwise.
