She's telling the truth. I experienced it. It wasn't till I payed out of my own pocket instead of using Medicare and found an independent health clinic they dealt with hormones and vitamins and checked all the things she is discussing here and received some T3 that I felt normal again. I kept telling the endocrinologist at the big Medicare hospital the more I took of Levothyroxine the worse I felt and she would say your TSH is normal now get out of here. T3 gave me my life back. All my hormone makers were destroyed from chemo to treat leukemia and a bone marrow transplant with GVHD. It attacked all my organs. Had to go on dialysis because it got my kidneys too. Most doctors don't listen to their patients. They think all their patients are dumb butts.

@@100gringoflow I don't have it very bad. At my worst tsh reached 15. Most of the time with 75ng levo or 90ng of NP Thyroid it stays between 3 and 4. Update to the last comment:. Every doctor I went to refused to test the T3. It has been so frustrating. I am on levothyroxine but I am also using the internet to heal my thyroid myself. I completely changed my diet and brought my TPO down from 563 to 43. My T3 is a blind spot. My doctors actually act annoyed that I reached out to other sources to manage my thyroid. The entire experience has been so weird. My 1 doctor actually said to me “you are the only one who does this. Everyone else just takes the pill.” He said it like a put down too. Weird.

I had a doctor who said T3 gets converted to T4. For years, she sent me for exams, specialists etc. to deal with Hashimoto symptoms. She never heard of Hashimoto’s and therefore, it was never diagnosed by her. When I came up with that diagnosis made by another doctor, she debated it and ranted about her patients listening to ‘doctor internet’, T3 converted to T4, etc. I really hope she came to her senses since.

Ticked every box for hypothyroidism...but my Tsh was ok. Went private and was given Armour Thyroid. Had that for over 20 years and felt great. The big drug companies then pushed the synthetic levythyroxine on cost..1 armour pill about a £1 whilst 1 levythyroxine cost about a penny. The NHS then declared nobody needed the expensive version and withdrew the option from my consultant. I have to buy it privately now or I have no quality of life. Costs about £228 for a hundred 1 1/2 grain tablets. I need two a day.......😢

I’ve been a thyroid patient for over three years. I’m a male and I’m also Hashimoto’s. My doctor prescribed me T4 and upped the dosage until my labs were fine. I experienced 30+ pounds of weight loss but hit a huge plateau I cannot overcome with diet. I’ve been working out over two years and six days a week. I feel like in this situation may pertain to me and it’s so hard to find a doctor that is knowledgeable about thyroid problems.

You shouldn’t be working out 6 days a week. You need a day of rest after each workout for body to repair itself and become stronger. If not allowed to rest you don’t build more muscle which burns fat. Start working out every other day and you should begin seeing better results

You may be working out too much and increasing your cortisol which is making your body hold onto weight. Also, recommend to stop chasing the numbers on the scale and start focusing on overall well being. Chasing the scale also increases stress and anxiety and can take you away from mindful living affecting quality of life. A lot of ppl do well with the following physical activity routine: High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) 2-3x/week but do no more than 30 minutes and never consecutive days in a row (need a day in between for recovery). You may need to start at 10 minutes and work up to 30 minutes if needed. Find a HIIT routine you like or mix it up to keep things interesting. Weight lifting at least 2 days a week and don't work out the same muscle groups consecutive days. Yoga 2-3 days/week for at least 20 minutes or more for stretching, balance, body alignment, and deep breathing which helps with brain health and relaxation. Yoga also helps with muscle strength as well depending upon the type of yoga you do, and there are more vigorous yoga that can give a workout too like Vinyasa. Expore the different types of yoga for different situations/needs. I hope this helps your health journey.

90% of people with hypothyroidism have autoimmune thyroiditis. They continue feeling terrible on medication because the medication does ZERO to address the underlying autoimmune disorder. The ongoing inflammatory immune response affects mood, energy levels and more. Why does every other autoimmune disorder have treatment options except autoimmune thyroiditis???? Makes zero since. Perhaps its because Synthroid is the most prescribed medication in the United States. Big pharma sure wouldn't want you actually addressing and fixing the underlying issue now would they?

Any idea why my TSH levels would spike AFTER starting levothyroxine? Im so confused. Feeling extremely fatigues i went to Dr, and my TSH was 9.19 mcIU/mL. was prescribed 25 MCG, I didnt take this medicine often, in fact, I stretched the script out for a year, occasionally breaking a pill in half and taking it if I felt overly fatigued. My next reading was 7.15 a year later. So TSH went down! My dr increased the levothyroxine to 50 mcIU/mL. Which I decided I'd start actually taking daily, a month later, my tsh was 8.56, and 4 months after that its now at 13.73! I don't understand this at all! Shouldnt the levothyroxine make my TSH levels drop?

I do feel a little more energized it’s just so frustrating because I feel like I’m the only one that this is happening to. I’m going to ask the doctor about maybe not keeping on the Synthroid.

Can people also get unusual mood swings, quick to reaction,and overreacting on little things even when they’re taking levothyroxine for years? Cuz i used to knew a women that was so good and sweet and friendly for 3 years until i started noticing unusual bad attitudes towards me over small things that are pointless to turn into attitudes, overreacting on small things emotionally. Sadly due to her mood swings that also made me upset towards her we ended up not being friends anymore. I blame her thyroid meds but she was too indenial about it and her doctor said she was fine but deep down i didnt buy it. Is this issue common for hypothyroisms even when they’re taking levothyroxine.

However she was alwasy underweight and she has hypothyroism. Her throat seemed normal and her doctors told her she was ok and her dose was ok but with me i dont trust doctors cuz they dont always know everything. Sadly she believes in the pharmacy when i tried to open her up how they are not always right and maybe her dose was low or too high but yea not sure if she has hashmitos. Last i checked her throat and face shaped seemed ok. But yea she got reallly bad. And as of 2021 her older sister posted a new pic of her and……. She no longer looks the same. She cut her hair like a boy like super short and i gotta say she was a lot more attractive when she was friends with me. I knew things would get worse if she got rid of me cuz she did. My son has congenital hypothyroidism. Was born without a thyroid or so that’s what they say. A sonogram of his neck showed no thyroid present but that was just at 3 months old and he is 5 now. His TSH levels were skyrocketed and now they are kept within good limits with synthroid. Insurance will no longer cover that and want to give us generic Levothyroxine instead unless I am willing to pay the how cost for synthroid. I have been looking into Armour thyroid and naturals ways to balance this out for him. Do you think I should have another ultrasound to see if the thyroid is present? And do you have a better choice of thyroid medication?
@invisibleillnessashley8850
@invisibleillnessashley8850 5 жыл бұрын
Zach Paul you’d literally be paying to ship medication that isn’t FDA approved from Canada... That cost alone can’t be beneficial in comparison from using say Good Rx dot com and getting a coupon for Synthroid. The reason you shouldn’t use Armour is it is natural dissected pig hormone, you can’t properly regulate it and people get too much or too little. While your son is growing and under 18 I would stick to medically FDA approved, tested and above all SAFE doses that are tightly controlled! You don’t want your son to have major problems like growing boobs or Christ knows what because you wanted to experiment and be cheap! That’s insane talk! You should do what’s best if at 18 he decided to gamble he made that choice. You could never live with yourself if someone went wrong! I will say I don’t have a thyroid and someone I know took Armour and because it’s for PIGS to make PIGS gain weight and metabolize things... She gained 273 lbs in 5 months! Insane!!!!!! I have to pay $33 a month on good rx for my Tirosint because Highmark won’t cover it. Would I risk turning into an oinking pork rind? No thanks! I would truly advise against messing with hormones regarding a prepubescent then pubescent boy! Truly the last thing you need is to pay for acne medicine and weight loss surgery and god knows because you thought it would be smart to take a pigs hormone and try it on your child! YIKES! That even sounds insane! Take care!

Also, if there’s a small piece of thyroid it can grow back. So if he had a small amount of tissue he may grow one eventually. I had my surgically removed for cancer and they said that’s why they have to be so careful and get every single cell or it can regenerate: my endo said in 35 years at Harvard endocrinology he’s only seen one grow back. So it’s an unlikely thing to happen but not impossible! I would say get another ultra sound for peace if mind. But the lizards tail generating again spontaneously is low.
