When I first got my puppy, she was not very treat motivated. I was so confused and worried because I had watched tons of videos of y’all making it look so easy haha. It just took some time for my pup to adjust to her new home and people. I felt like it was a bit of a set back at first but my pup is now 5 months old and very smart and sweet. Thank you for making this video! I wish I had this info 4 months ago but we turned out alright!

This is where I am at right now. We just brought our pup home and he doesn't seem treat motivated at all. I can't even get 5 minutes of training in before he loses interest and just lays down 😕

I would like to see in the SAME video Reign not taking treats and then introduce the methods you just showed. To me Reign already seems to be treat motivated. As a trainer myself this sticks out to me. Imho.

Reign was hungry as it was meal time so it was ideal to ensure success during this session.

I’m surprised there was no mention of overfeeding. All dogs will work for food if they’re hungry. If the dog doesn’t want to work for their kibble in the morning, don’t give it to them. Fast them for a few hours and try again.

Yes! Idk why he does this but when we're outside he doesn't take the treats and idk how to train him and tell him what's right I'm so lost first time I train a dog

@@mr.lemonadejuice920 try natural foods. Like chicken or beef, Take him outside on a leash, get him comfortable to walk on the leash. Everytime he pulls you tell him to sit, make sure he keeps his head up when walking. Don’t use a chest leash use the leash around the neck. Be patient and make sure to be firm. If he makes a mistake make sure to correct him and don’t treat him. Do not repeat commands. When you say it one time wait until he listens.
