Beautiful explanation of an ongoing bidaaa ( the act not practiced by beloved Prophet but now being used on his name ). Better be safe and only practise Salawat un Nabi صلى الله عليه وسلم As Allah has commanded in Quran.

A lot of ulema also say that celebrating the prophet’s birthday is an innovation. This is a slippery slope we need to be careful as we don’t want to become what the Christian’s have become with regard to worshipping the prophet Jesus.

A lot of ulema also say it is highly beneficial to celebrate the mawlid, it’s a matter of idjtihad so it depends on which scholars you follow
