McCoy Tyner’s solo is one of the most insane passages of music I’ve ever heard; it goes through so many emotions and styles before finally returning to the main groove of the piece in such a joyful fashion. It is by far one of the greatest jazz solos I’ve ever heard!

At Berklee in 1973 this album was in constant rotation. Hugh Petersen, Delmar Brown and I all LOVED it. Hello to Alphonse Mouzon whom I had the pleasure of hanging with in Los Angeles, a few years ago. Just the best ever!

This is one of my favorite pieces of music. You sound transcendent and Juni Booth's solo is incredible. I wish there was a video of it, too. Thank you.

I'm in downtown Manhattan at work, and listening to all the long McCoy tracks i can find and this and the rest I found are all gems--unimaginably beautiful, only to be experienced. Thanks, Alphonse--I look forward to digging up some more of your gold. (Yes, I know I went from precious stones to metals, but it all shines!!!).

I apologize, I havn't got any videos or tapes of that concert. Anyway, this is brilliant music. Alphonse, one question: Is the bass player (Juney Booth) the one, who usedto play with the Sun Ra Arkestra?

@alphonsemouzon I OWN NOW A 1968 MAHOGANY JAZZETTE BUT DOESNT SOUND LIKE YOURS HERE !! !! IS THIS CONCERT's DRUMS THE SAME WE CAN SEE YOU WITH W.R. ON youtube OR IS IT A LATER ONE ? YOUR PERFORMANCE HERE WAS ONE THING OUT OF ORDINARY : CERTAINLY REMAINS AN IMPORTANT MOMENT IN THE HYSTORY OF JAZZ DRUMMING !
