Thanks for the work around on the duck bill gas cap.

Sounds strong. Low and high are dialed in perfect and i like where you have the idle set. Bbq paint looks great on those bars with a coat of oil for gloss. Sand bar, wipe with alcohol. Heat metal with heat gun, apply paint, heat again. They also look good with the tips painted krylon 'sun yellow '-- from tip back, on a forty degree angle.

You might be able to use aftermarket Mac 10-10 plates. They look the same. I have both saws. I have plates on both.

I have a McCulloch 250, Thank You for posting this information. Where do you get the cone shaped seal and gaskets?
@j.k.mcclead9207 Жыл бұрын
The cone shaped o-ring is part of the “plunger assembly”, I salvaged one from a dead 1-43. The 1-40, 1-50, 200, 250, 300, series and most other 80-87ccc saws in this form factor have the same plunger

i put mine together (dry) with new gaskets,did you use any gasket cement/sealer?...also got my oiler working
@j.k.mcclead9207 Жыл бұрын
I use a very thin coating of “Motoseal” on most of the gaskets I install, especially the split-type fuel tanks.

Hi, your video is very helpfull! Can you please tell me where you found the new gaskets?
@j.k.mcclead9207 Жыл бұрын
eBay. Part #65580 is the tank gasket and Part# 65654 is the gasket for the stuffer plate side.

Where did you get the gaskets and new plunger
@j.k.mcclead9207 Жыл бұрын
The gaskets I fleaBayed, part # 65654. The plunger I removed from another dead 80cc saw. The 1-40, 1-50, 200, 250, 300, series and most other 80-87ccc saws in this form factor have the same plunger.

200 is the same,, plunger assembly available?
@j.k.mcclead92072 жыл бұрын
Yes. The 200 and the 250 are practically identical. The 250 just has a few cosmetic upgrades like a vinyl coated handle on some models.

@@j.k.mcclead9207 haven't got mine apart yet,but leaks externally,,,maybe just the o-ring,,if it needs a cup...any ideas?
@j.k.mcclead92072 жыл бұрын
@@thankswillie The cone shaped o-ring is going to be a tough find. According to the IPL, the plunger and o-ring came as an “assembly” Part # 63122. And a “cup” # 24104a
