Thinking bout buying this gas trimmer from their main site online in the next year or 2, really like these 2 stroke trimmers, hopefully it will last longer than my current trimmer that’s has starting issues

For the last 18 months I've not let the lawn crew edge or use a weed eater in my back yard. kzbin.infoUgkx_rBCFuDW1zD6blTGhLkvAkxU657uR_lG I didn't like the fact that they just kept cutting the edge of the lawn further and further from the rock lining the flower beds and leaving bare ground. And the grass was trimmed or scalped several feet around trees, etc. It was a constant battle with them so I told them to just mow and no trimming. I have Zoysia grass so it grows pretty slow. Obviously after a while it could use some trimming. I'm in my 80's so I can't do much of it myself.Finally I decided that if I could find a lightweight battery powered trimmer I might be able to do some light trimming. I decided to buy the LST201 20V trimmer. And it works great for my needs. I have back yard with about 150' of flower beds and several trees to be trimmed. I can lightly trim the whole yard with a single charge! The grass I trimmed was only a few inches high but the trimmer was more powerful than I expected.

..agree..however the recoil recoil start is "tough " on the user

I had one of those as a first machine. Nice for once a week with a smaller lawn. Mine bit the dust at the farm. later discovered that they only have one piston ring and couldn't handle all the usage and heat. Bought me a stihl FS 250R trimmer for the big stuff and a Husqvarna 223L trimmer for trimming and edging. haven't had a single problem out of either one.

Shawn Dubay not uncommon for a single ring to be used in a 2 stroke.

looks like when you primed the fuel bulb it was clear petrol did you put oil mix in sorry just saying i might be mistaken but good strimmer

I had weed eater branded trimmer once it was junk I will never another one again the fuel lines kept breaking so I got a stihl.

Did you mix 2 stroke oil in the fuel like your supposed to ? That fuel looked clear. Should have a 40:1 2stroke OP and fuel mixture for optimal performance or it will just break after a few uses.

What's wrong with this thing? I have a McCulloch leaf blower with maybe the same 25cc engine but that thing starts after 2 pulls.

I have the leaf blower it's a great engine on it I've tried this model of strimmer found it to be a bit hit n miss it's ok for small garden

Yes, but if you can afford another one of better quality I recommend it, this one has no clutch, and when you have not used it for a long time it becomes uncomfortable, also when you pick up a lot of grass it stops for the engine, being always turned the threads turn, I do not recommend it ... Stihl or Husqvarna is for ever

Habe auch ein von der Marke nur anderes model aber zimlich ungeduldig an gemacht erst mal 10 mal pumpen Dan seil vorsichtig mehr mal ziehen und nicht so schnell und oft hintereinander nicht um sohnt haben die Dinger ein soft starter also meine hat aufjeden Fall ein und nicht gleich Gas geben egal ob neu oder schon lange im gebrauch immer so 2 bis 3 min warm laufen lassen so erhaltet ihr eine lange Lebens Dauer

mam tego trimmaca świetny sprzęt leciutka, precyzyjna, daje radę nawet przy gęstej trawie. nie wiem czemu miał taki problem z rozruchem, mi zaskakuje na średnim ssaniu po max 2-3 pociągnięciach linki

It is a tool to use from time to time, I do not think it will last long if every day you do run, this still works, this machine is only to make a few tweaks, you use it with one hand and weighs nothing, but not to give a lot of grass, it is underpowered and the minimum that get stuck, stops, to put up the cutting lines are always moving, depends to need it goes well, if you have to cut a lot, I recommend a more powerful .

McCULLOCH used to make top notch products. The real McCULLOCH company based out of Tucson Arizona went out of business a while ago. Then another company purchased the rights to the name at some point. The products being made now appear to be low to mid grade quality tops. If you purchase a McCULLOCH product you'll want to buy something made before 1999 when real McCULLOCH made the products.
