@sarreira Жыл бұрын
Acording to galeforce 9 rulebook: “We (the designers) have always allowed a player to ship forces into Arrakeen or Carthag and then use ornithopters. Our logic is that with the various military cultures in the Dune universe, raids prescribed by Kanly (or by opportunity for the Fremen) were common. An invasion is a similar case in the book. A fighting force can be shipped into Carthag or Arrakeen, steal ornithopters and use them to move other forces through three territories anywhere on the board.” So yes, Anna could have done that.
@RKTGX9511 ай бұрын
@@sarreira never played the game, but i think there is some logic theme/plot wise that a new force shouldn't have the same ability of using ornithopters as the already controlling force in the region. i get the idea of raids and stealing them, but this potentially implies a battle. or maybe that if a new force arrives at a controlled city by another, then they could steal some ornithopters which is implemented by a rule that a force of up to X strength can use them? i do agree it makes sense that if one arrives at an uncotrolled city then they can use the ornithopters immediately in the next movement phase.

One doesn't need to control Arrakeen or Karthag to use ornithopters. They just need to have at least one soldier in there. This is clarified by original designers in the 2019 Gale Force 9 reprint. It was also mentioned such an ability was intentional as raids are quite common in Dune's world.

Hearing a non slavic speaker pronounce Dzordzevic correctly is weird, nice job Matt XD

Love this so much, bought the game and ready to play once it's all safe. Might even stream it if I can. Matt: "A thousand deaths are not enough for Yueh" Tom: "That's why I blew him up with a laser!" Me: LOL! Thanks awesome peeps!

Please play again. I bought this game at a garage sale and I have had no frigging idea how to play it. Being a huge Dune fan this play through was incredible.
