It starts in the fields (RD Offut grows them in several states and most of the potato fields in my area are for McDonald's french fries), where there are certain acid and sugar levels that must be maintained in the potatoes. They are extremely strict with these levels and whenever a field of them doesn't match with the requirements of McDonalds, the potatoes end up getting cooked into a nasty slurry and turned into Pringles Potato Chips lol.

The weird thing. I live in the UK and once ate McDonalds in my home city. I then went on holiday in another UK city and had McDonalds. The second one was smaller. It was either a big coincidence or the fact i was at a popular tourist spot.
