As someone who’s never worked in fast food, but has worked in many restaurants, I’m surprisingly shocked at how the kitchen operations are ran almost identical to fine dining restaurants in terms of vocabulary, equipments, stations, people, and cleanliness. It gives you more respect for these fast food workers when you understand that what they are doing is not far at all from a real restaurants . I feel like there’s just so many stereotypes

We don't give it away because it would contribute to high food costs. It becomes a difference between "wasted product" to "missing product" - where it's essentially unknown food cost because it wasn't sold, or wasted. So, we don't do that for that reason - that, and, if we were to sell it (as would be a good suggestion), order-takers figuring out what is left would just take way too much time and slow down the line. - McDonald's crew trainer

This is so informative and educational. The fact the owner gets in there! That's how it should be. Guarentee, none of my "ivory tower higher ups" got in the trenches. Help a sick patient????🤨😳😖 hell to the no. Make plenty of rules that are useless to the real workers ( nurses,) but actually deal with reality, nope. This is how it should be across ALL employment. No one should ever become the head of a hospital without a medical or nursing degree, plus 20+ years bedside experience.Things would be a hell of a lot different!
