Sounds so good I did the mistake of taking my cats out and the rasp at low rpms is so bad I have bbk shorty headers, no cats, 2 x-pipes, and roush ab muffles. Was thinking of adding jones resonators and this was the best video to help me out. You earned a sub keep the good work 🎉

Sounds good! I have a 2014 3.7 with shorty headers and Roush axle back, the headers really gave it a deeper tone and got rid of some rasp. Not sure if you have headers now but I think that would sound great! 💯

Some ppl think louder just means better. Louder with a 3.7 can make u feel like fingernails on a chalkboard . Borla attacks r so loud that they made a resonator to tame the loud rasp. Which defeats the purpose. But the borla resonator alone is perfect. I took off my mufflers with my borla resonator alone and it sounded perfect. It gave a tuned sound with no drone . V8 like deep sound.I'm getting some muffler deletes soon. The borla resonator alone with bbks sounds awesome... the bbk shorties + Borla resonator + muffler deletes is efficient money wise and sounds great. Well I like it anyway. When I get the delete I'll make a clip. If u like loud raspy brain shattering sound this is not for u. A sleeper doesn't announce its fast. After ur beat by one u wanna know what the hell just beat me? But if ur loud and obnoxious and u loose ppl would be like all that noise for nothing. This doesn't apply to v8. But a v6 is already humble. U have to really work for your speed. Eco boost to me feels like the engine might break cause its already close to maxed out. And its hard to make sound good.

The rasp comes from having the X-pipe and it is definitely much more noticeable when you remove the cats. The second set of resonators did the trick as far as getting rid of the rasp. The sound is definitely an improvement over what you had before. How much did the resonators and the labor to install them set you back? In the state where I live, I have to keep cats on the car. After burning out the OEM cats, I replaced them with aftermarket Magnaflow cats for a 2010 Shelby GT500. I replaced the X-pipe with an H-pipe and installed a MBRP 2-1/2" catback so my entire exhaust system is larger than stock. The larger pipe makes the car sound deeper and louder. I have Ford Racing axle backs that I have no use for. If someone wants to buy them all they have to do is respond to my comment. Have you decided what you're going to use for a tire?

Hu 3.7 At this point my Frankenstein exhaust system is 2.5 all the way through lol. Not a piece of stock pipe left and everything I’ve added is 2.5 including the axle back. The resonators ran about 80 per pair and my exhaust guy charged 70 for each pair. Most likely I’m going with Race Stars 18x5 front 17x10.5 rear which can be moved to a 5.0 with Brembos down the road. Rear tires I’m leaning towards Mickey Thompson ET Street R bias ply and M & H bias ply front runners.

I know lots of guys don’t like the sound of v6s but yours isn’t bad sounds like a loud raptor my opinion. And the raptor doesn’t bother me at all. I think it’s awesome your building off that motor. Guy I raced here at street car nationals has a 3.7 and 16 lbs of boost running faster then boosted coyotes all day he was 10.5 and 10.7s

Wow...A lot deeper...Nice job. I like the mic you have attached to bumper, I just picked up a Zoom H1N handy recorder to record exhaust sound. I haven't posted any videos with it yet. The on camera, mics clip really bad on loud exhaust.

It sounds soooo much better now! I removed my Cats too but I still have my stock resonator. I wish I can say I like my set up but.... anyways I plan on doing a complete overhaul! I want to remove my Hpipe and replace it with the Xpipe and getting rid of my axle back outlaws for Borla cat-back exhaust

im one of the few unlucky bastards that live in California.with that being said, next year April of 2022 im gonna have to smog check and wondering if its gonna pass smog check. its a 15 v6 i have installed axle back exhaust and it sounds much better than the generic sound it came with but if i added resonator if its gonna pass smog check , i asked a few other guys and im getting mixed answers some say no way but a few others say if its behind the catalytic converter it should be ok. i have kept all the old parts just in case it doesn't pass. it sucks living in the only state that enforces this law its total bs. I'd be out of here if not for my kids and grandkids.

Feedthelibertytree Stock 2016 Mustang V6 runs a 14 @100. A stock 2016 Mustang GT runs a 12.9 @ 110. My best is a 12.4 @ 124. I’d beat my stock self by about 15-16 car lengths. The 12.4 doesn’t really tell the story though. I’m running a manual car on street tires at the strip meaning no burn out. Cutting consistent 2.1-2.2 60 foot. Can’t launch with any power without massive wheel hop. Grabbing some bias ply drag tires in the off-season. I’ll be able to launch with power and should cut my 60 to 1.7-1.8 which will put the car well into the 11s in the 1/4.

I'll tell you this. it's actually hard to find an S550 V6. (IMO) They are becoming coveted because of the practicality of the engine. Easier to drive in a daily setting, and cheaper then the Ecoboost. The real mystery is why tons of GTs are traded back into the dealership within the first year, most under 30k miles. (I used to work for a local dealership) Last month someone traded in a 18 GT with 5k miles. I honestly don't get it.

I always thought it was because of how expensive it is to insure the GT's. Another thing is ' that for some years back, it was said that cars performed better with an X or H pipe because of the engines exhaust scavenging ? I definately like the longer resonators, sounds just perfect. It's nice and quiet but when you step on it ' it means business !

At speed, there doesn't seem to be much difference in any of the changes. At least it's hard to differentiate between all three changes to me. Where did you get the front grill badge?

divemaster 03 Yeah the WOT sound was never the issue. Low RPM was like a raspy trumpet through a bullhorn 😂 I got the badges on eBay about 3 years ago. Don’t know if they still sell them.

Removing the cats is going to bring you serious rasp and it’s tough to settle it down. Is your car auto or manual? I’ve found making my car pop a little easier with a manual and downshifting at the right time etc.
