…WAS…NOT NOW. Bama’s “culture” is no longer the culture of yore. Now it’s me…me…me. That’s why Sabin said F-this and immediately resigned after the “last” game. No. The “Bama” of glory past has settled. The new dawn, is what is “just” revealing before your illusional eyes. The “strive for excellence” and “team with one overarching goal” no longer exist. It’s fading and fast. Years of mediocrity is what’s ahead. One day, may it be soon, The Crimson Tide spirit reemerge, but the bottom is not “yet” reach. When Alabama had a receiver go out with an injury in the second quarter, they couldn't execute their plan. He seemed to be the key to blocking on the perimeter. He WAS blocking DBs 20yds down the field, too.....hard to replace guys like that. D.Smith seemed to make the secondary work, too...when he went down with leg cramps, Georgia lit us up. Smith was back in for one series and happened to break-up the corner route Alabama couldn't seem to stop.

It may not be readily and obvious to the casual observer, however you of all people must know the Bama program is in decline. Saban, knew it, and he knows why. Saban said F-this and quit because the athletes on his team, for the 1st time, became me…me…me…entitlement and wanted individual gratification. The Bama program will suffer and underperform and internal bickering will grow. Will no longer be a perennial “NATTY” contender. The culture is corrupted. Not the team culture of years of yore high standards. Bama will inevitably slip into mid-pack program. The team culture “was” what made Crimson Tide the perennial “NATTY” contender!!!! Ga.s comeback was basically ruined when Milroe hit Williams on their first possession right after Ga. had taken the lead. Not only did Williams come down with the ball against Ga.s best defender, but he evaded Starks and defender #4 to, then, go into the end zone from 50 yards out, all the while, with Number 4, seemingly, having a perfect angle between himself and the out of bounds to take Williams out around the 30 yard line or so and make Bama earn its victory. It became, as if, once Ga. took the lead, Alabama's serious side woke back up from it's 25 minute slumber and resumed what it had done throughout the first quarter and much of the second, slaughter Ga. all over the field!. Had Bama been forced to first run a few plays and then kick a field goal to regain the lead, some of the dignity, Ga. had worked so hard to regain, would have been kept. But, even so, Beck and Ga. had a chance to retake the lead, marching his troops down the field, in one minute's time, to have 1st and ten on the Bama 25 . Beck decides to toss up a ball that his 6 ft 3 inch receiver, an NIL recruit, was brought here to reign in but It was slightly under thrown, but still gettable, for Colby Young. Instead, Bama's rookie receiver intercepts and the game became, basically, over. Young reacted too slowly to the slight underthrow and offered no challenge to Alabama's rookie and Ga. fans were reminded that, once more, up against the wall, Alabama will win a contested play and Ga. will lose. So, first, Williams catches the semi-heil Mary against Ga.'s all American defender, Malaki Starks. Williams, then, plays twinkle toes, dancing around Ga.'s two defenders to out run the operatives for the go ahead score. There's still 90 seconds on the clock and Carson Beck, beautifully, marches the Dawgs down the field to get Ga. in or near the "Red Zone". There's time enough for three Ga. plays to score but Carson and Coordinator, Bobo opt for an immediate pass into the End Zone where a Ga. player couldn't just catch it, but would have to out maneuver the Alabama defender in the air to bring it down. Possibly due to the intensity of the moment, Colby forgot to jump forward and In the battle of wills, when it counted, Bama wins again, Georgia loses with the freshman, Bama defender coming down with the ball and Young looking on in horror. After the 2nd half heroic comeback, it was as if Bama was just playing with us all along. Bama allowed us to lead for 13 seconds before reminding us, who was the daddy! Bama was the daddy! I'm happy that GA. didn't roll over and play dead in the 2nd half but WHAT A LET DOWN to struggle sooo hard to take the lead just to give the lead right back!!!!! I have heard only a few fans noting this end time failure of Ga.'s preferring to focus on the amazing comeback. It was an amazing comeback that fell short and contrary to what the pundits say the day after, this comeback will soon be forgotten or barely touched upon because IT ENDED IN FAILURE and Bama, did the expected, once again, BEAT GEORGIA !

They threw a ton of new looks at Georgia and shut them down, that game was literally the epitome of a great team getting punched in the mouth and addressing it at half time and come storming back. He couldn’t keep the gas pedal pushed because Georgia adjusted. Good game to Alabama but Texas, Georgia and Alabama are all pretty equal. Spoken like a true former Alabama quarterback. They got lucky, bro. If Colbie Young snags that late pass in the end zone over the young corner back (and earns his NIL money) Bama folds like a deck of cards … in an EPIC SEC collapse. THAT, bro, (you and other fan boys) should reflect upon. Coach Daboring didn’t catch a single pass (had Williams on the 3rd string in early practice). Curby your enthusiasm. Lastly, who told you Milroe’s name is Cam Ward. Cam plays at the next level. Milroe? Not for long …
@Britton_ThompsonАй бұрын
I disagree. To me, the fact that Alabama was able to retake the lead on the very next play after losing it late in the 4th qtr against an elite opponent everyone had as their preseason #1 team told me they really are for real after all. The fact that they were able to refocus when it mattered most was impressive to behold, and quite scary for the rest of us if I'm being honest. Perfect example: the kid who made the INT in the endzone to win the game. He got beat on that same play twice before on that same drive. He said to himself there won't be a third time. He adapted on the fly, and he played the ball instead of the WR. And look what happened. He pulled in the game sealing INT
