I love this thing. Maybe a running change with corrected canopy paint but otherwise great. I'm fine with them skewing the scale a little bit to make it affordable. For me it perfectly rides the line as a budget collector option and a fun toy. Todd's batwing is out of my price range but this and the spinmaster batwing will make a great armory. Thanks for all the figure comparisons. I'd be too scared to tear the Mezco or break the NECAs hips

Not ALWAYS, this one pretty good, all the McFarlane DC Multiverse vehicles are sized well. The last 2 ‘66 play sets are very nicely sized. But they have had plenty of hickups along the way/

Hidden feature: the vent on top of the cockpit had a thin gap that you can slide the bat ears thru. It seems intentional because the vent is just an empty space inside. You can better seat him if you bend his legs slightly and slide his ears thru the gap. I tried it with my Arkham Asylum Batman and I can move him side to side without bending or crushing the ears. Perhaps, you can do an update video to show the vent gap for those who don’t know. Cheers.

Jazzinc bvs is absolutely amazing, but jazzinc needs to stop making 1:12. There’s no point of making an expensive car that can only fit Mafex or Mattel. In fact the bvs sold so poorly because there’s only niche 6” dc figs like figuarts, Mezco etc that they might not even make another smaller scale again.

Part of the charm of a “Piece”, are the quirky manufacturing details. Kinda like not polishing a Rolex. Buyers will say “Awe Man. You painted the canopy”. I’m looking for an unaltered original. Those are RARE!” Saw your video, and I had to get one. It’s AWESOME! 👍🏼

I can’t imagine it’s intentionally lighter. Guessing the paint came out different on that piece than expected, but here we are. I should repaint the whole thing, I’ve seen some people and it looks glorious!

Yeah what’s up with the gray canopy and why wouldn’t they make it slide open. It also looks like you cut a chunk out and slid both ends together. It’s short and the canopy is too tall. It’s blocky and not sleek

Canopy has to be too tall, just the way it is. In the movie they had shorter ears for him to fit, he also sat all the way on the floor of the car. It does slide forward. The mismatched color is inexcusable.

It's definitely scaled down from what it would be at a true 1:10 scale, but I will use it with the Mezco '89 Batman. Might even do some heavy mods and create a custom 2 seater interior if I can.

No, one does comparisons as detailed as dHunter. The only Batman figure I have is the McFarlance Dark Knight Returns Batman, but I think I want 2 of these Batmobiles. One to use and a backup. If the other Batman vehicles are any indicator, if you don't get these while they are in retail, they get expensive later.

The 89 is an impossible thing to replicate perfectly in toy form. Even Hot Toys and Jazzinc have to deal with the reality of the situation. The original car had the seat bolted straight to the floor it couldn’t go any lower, and they still had to cut off Keaton’s ears to close the canopy for filming. Now imagine a toy where the seat doesn’t even have any squish give AND you can’t cut the ears off lol So even though the Mcfarlane is smaller than it should be to scale, it’s taller than it should be already because of these insane proportions of the original.

Todd made the perfect Batmobile for the neca Batman! I passed on this for now and might pick up the gold label but the McFarlane vehicles seem a bit large for me to display and I had a heck of a time doing something with the Batmo-beast. I did order the smaller spinmaster RC batmobile and 16" batwing - the size letting me set up a nice bat-cave like display. Your Walter seems a bit larger than my E.J. lol, great review as always my man and looking forward to many more.

First thing I’m doing is a repaint. Great value for the price, though, like you said. Really hoping they give us an ‘89 BATMAN figure. The middle component on the back is a Jet Turbine, not exhaust. The exhaust piping is the silver portions (not trying g to be “that guy”) Just FYI. Great review. I love all of the comparisons. Mine has shipped, hoping it arrives today or tomorrow.
