It's lighter in the back to save them on cost. I can picture em saying well the cape hides it. The answer is--they're cheap.

If that's the case, they should've done JL regular suit instead of bvs bc the two suits are almost identical and they do have the licensing of JL ben

Just the other day I got the old Mattel suicide squad Batman that they did with all the accessories and updated paint deco for batfleck, and I must say I’m quite impressed. It’s sad that McFarlanes biggest weakness is paint when it comes to his figures, but that seems to be the main problem I have with his figures. I’m still getting this guy cause he looks sick. But I hate laziness, and Todd seems to be pushing it with his figures. But he does do good stuff too. My favourite figure from McFarlane is the Henry Cavill superman figure blue variant. I love how that figure turned out. McFarlane is a mixed bag in a nutshell.

I just hope the lack of paint on the back of this figure was a mistake and not a cost savings cut. Collectors are now paying $22.99 or $25 after taxes per figure with lower quality, less attention to details, and care taken.

At first, when we saw figures from Todd where the back wasn't painted we figured it was a mistake but I think this is just being cheap and cost-cutting. I think there really is a directive NOT to paint the back. Todd must be thinking who cares about the back, it's the back and hidden by the cape. If he can get away with it, he would "waffle" the back like in some transformers toys. I wonder how many people will defend this and proclaim we should be grateful that it's not 29.99 or 39.99 with a NRT and mention that we should just put the black wash ourselves. Next thing you know Todd will just send us un-painted bare plastic and expect us to paint the figures ourselves and tout it as cutomizing it to our own needs....wait a minute.

I agree with everything you said about this figure and it’s very disappointing, especially for how long we have waited. Todd knew people wanted this, and this is the final result? People who are defending this figure have come to accept mediocrity unfortunately. We know McFarlane can do better because we saw it in his Black Adam figures, especially Dwayne Johnson’s likeness or the Shazam figure. I will buy one too because I want to have this version of Batman in my collection as well.

What I think figure is missing: shorter head peg, stuble on the face , accents on the fins of the gloves and knuckles. Perhaps a more darker grey, thinner accessories 😂

You're spot on with the review. Another glaring fault is his undersized height compared to Henry Justice League Superman & Wonder Woman. The tactical suit was already too short. They don't care about height accuracies. Seems they're going with "you'll buy them anyways", as is the case with this being sold out everywhere.

I hope they make the updated darker gray one from JL and praying we get a possible bvs wave so I can get another Superman and hopefully his neck is straighter than the ones we got from the ZSJL wave and the color of his suit is brightened a little bit

If you look closely at the art of the 6pax Batman Movie Collection they copied the BvS concept art to this figure since they might be having trouble with lisencing Afflecks looks so this is their work around.

For everyone who's this upset at the line just stop collecting and move on lots of companies do this with a line and when a company has so many lines they gonna skip out on something it's been like this for years and always will be I love your your videos but this was a bit much to handle I'm not mad at cha at all because your speaking the truth but it's Ok it's a freakin toy we adults gotta collect or not we should know what to expect by now by Todd.

I bought 2 in target and actually went out of my way to pick up the second one, but I don't really have a problem with it other than the likeness because I fully had intentions of doing a cape swap, shortening the neck peg, dry brushing some gold paint where needed and black washing the belt, took me all of 30 minutes to do and I already had all the materials I needed ready to go when I got the figure! but as soon as I can figure out where to get the findjoy bvs batfleck I'll be picking that up too because that's just a better looking figure!

I've seen ppl do that and I think the 6 pack head is too big for the body. What's better is to use the original head of this figure, but swap the neck peg to a shorter one. It makes his proportions much better and the likeness doesn't seem that off afterwards

McFarlane always screws up the proportions. That JL batfleck just happens to be one of the few exceptions. So I wouldn't say I'm disappointed to this figure cause it's pretty much what I expected from McFarlane lol In fact, I've seen people swapping the neck peg of this figure to a shorter one and that makes his neck looks a lot better. After doing that, he seems to have better proportions than most of their figures. Now I'm actually pretty excited for mine to arrive As for the colors, I think the gray on the front and the back are the same, it's just that they put a wash on the front, but not the back, so the front looks darker. It certainly isn't ideal, but having a wash on the front is at least better than having no wash at all, which is what McFarlane does almost always. What I really don't like about the color is that his gray is kinda blueish.

That face sculpt looks like George Clooney lol...but the main disappointment of this figure is the lack of paint on the back. Mcfarlane in my opinion normally never cheaps out on paint so this was shocking. Unfortunately, it feels like a "throwaway" release/cash grab just top say they released it :/

Yeah they definitely messed up a few things on this figure. The Cowl alone resembles the justice league version more than the bvs version. You're right , they honestly could have just retooled the metal version with the mcfarland standard of articulation. With updated paint apps it would be worlds better than this. Also , if it was a likeness issue , they could have just put the rebreather from suicide squad over the mouth and it would have been an improvement.

I agree with your disappointments. I missed preorder on this figure, but now I don't feel bad! Those are some glaring issues. Mcfarlane is really hit or miss these days. I wish there was better quality control.

I ended up changing the head from the 6 pack Affleck tactical suit. Yea the colors don’t match if you look real close. But at a glance and from afar it looks way better. It’s almost a mash up of a BvS/JL suit

Pretty much all your gripes I agree with. I don't think I'm going to get this figure now. I was hoping that you were going to do a head swap with the six pack Ben Affleck figure. I was interested to see what that would look like. I think I'm going to get the Fondjoy BvS Batman figure that comes out in a month or two. It's hard to track down, but it looks so much better

McFarlane bvs sucks get the fondjoy version or even the beast kingdom one if u can find it at a reasonable price. This is exactly why i dont get his movie figures. They look nice but most of the time the figures are lacking paint and dont look much like the actors themselves at all really.

Honest? Alright this figure sucks. I mean the back of the figure without paint it's unacceptable. There's no likeness to Affleck and sure it's about right but even the SHF have the paint gold on the forearms and the boots. There's no excuse for McFarlane 'cause they know how to make a good movie figure look at the Clooney batman wave the detail on poison ivy are amazing and the likeness are on point so...I don't understand why make figure like this batman ...

Love your channel ! Couldnt wait to get this figure even though it frustrates me as well . The head , paint apps , height....frustrate me . Thankfully with some modifications it can be easily be brought to greatness. It is what it is . Rather have it than not. Looking forward to Fondjoy BVS Batman due out soon.

You said perfectly. It's a pretty cool Batman figure. It's just not accurate to Batfleck. Proportions are wrong, particularly the neck area. Worst offense may be that he's a dwarf compared to McFarlane's othe Film figures, when he should be tallest of them. Very frustrated with this guy but still getting him since he's still a cool toy of my fave Batman.

VERY FEW Mattel dc figures are good. The rest is complete shit. I'm a big DC fan and collectibles fan. I rarely got the Matteo figures because they ABSOLUTELY SUCK! I was so glad Mcfarlane got the license for these characters. The only TRUELY best Mattel DC figure is Jessica Cruz. I will stick with McFarlane 100%
