I collect most of the Batman stuff and I never thought I would get a Superman he's not a character I have any interest in, until I saw the black and silver with the beard just awesome

As much as I like the classic blue, red and yellow Superman suit, it's nice to get a black and silver suit version to mix things up. I like seeing Superman with a beard from time to time. The black and silver look good and they compliment each other nicely. However, unfortunately, the belt was painted a bit sloppily. I appreciate the fact that the figure comes included with a flight stand, unlike Martian Manhunter. Otherwise, thanks as always Spot for another wonderful video!

Love your vids, Spot! Just an FYI if you're out of the loop comics-wise: this figure is based on Superman's look in the Lois and Clark mini-series from 2015. Long story short, this guy is the pre-Flashpoint/New 52 Superman. He was depowered for a year in a domed city and he and Lois conceived Jonathan Kent. The Super Family returned to the main DC Earth and focused on raising Jonathan. Clark did some covert super work in this suit and Lois used a pseudonym to take down the New 52 Earth's version of Intergang. When the New 52 Superman died, this Superman took his place and donned the Rebirth suit used in your comparison. So much for "long story short..." Thanks for the entertaining and helpful reviews!

@@OpenCarry2024 the mini is called Superman: Lois & Clark and yes, its kinda self contained. I would recommend reading the Convergence: Superman tie in for a bit of context tho

McFarlane is my primary figure company, been collecting for about a year. Already got...a.. lot of them leave it at that LOL. I will probably KEEP buying them, I enjoy them do not get me wrong. But if you start - Be warned about one of their biggest and undeniable faults ( I can't picture even "a fan boy" taking the companies side with this) which is that they only give flight stands with about 60% of their flying characters. I mean we are talking about characters that are in flight for like nearly all of their appearances in comics Martian Manhunter, King SHAZAM, Bizzaro, GL John Stewart, GL Hal Jordan AND Dawnbreaker (2 pack) Black Adam, plus probably 10-15 other ones I have purchased, etc.. I could go on all day. I Love their figures. But just know that there is a good chance you will buy a flying character and get a stupid foot stand. It is INFURIATING especially considering with the number of stands they probably have made for them, they can't be spending more than - Ok I will honest I have no clue - But it has to be in the low "cents" area. 20 cents maybe 30? It is unfair that they just don't provide them with Flying stands, and that only some of them get them some of the time. I have even gotten SUPERMAN figures without a flight stand!!! Like Seriously? I would be okay with paying more if I got one, fine charge 50 cents more for the figure to even out the cost, who cares. Just provide one for God's sake lol. Because like you said, YEAH IT REALLY enhances the posability, picture quality, and display aesthetics like big time.

To answer your question about shaving: Superman has primarily used a piece of metal from his Kryptonian rocket, his fingernails, or his heat vision to shave. A Kryptonite razor would probably cause too much pain, though maybe using a red sun lamp on his face would weaken the whiskers enough to be cut with Earth-based metal.

Back in Superman: The Animated Series, Superman just stands in front of a mirror, and he uses his heat vision to shave. That's one of my favorite figures, and I'm hoping it gets retooled into the Solar Suit version of Superman, complete with mullet, and a few blasters.

SWD 151. Oh DANG we got a flight stand!!! Shuch a treat! Whats more is we got two sizzles right off the bat. I do agree that flight stands deserve two sizzles. That long sexy neck, that satisfying snap, that mmmmm transparency, so very clampy! 2 out of 2 sizzles

LOL lol. I.... Think.. we feel similarly lol. I think any character that can fly should include a flight stand. Even if they charged 20.49 or even 20.99 for the figure, instead of the retail of 19.99 - I wouldn't care I hate having to find (and usually OVER PAY) for decent flight stands. They can't cost them that much given the bulk order they must place. But As cool as Todd McFarlane is, I digress they are after all a "for profit" company, it just seems like a strange and unfair thing to do.

I bought this one to get the fists to put on the action comics 1000 version which I gave a cloth cape, I gave it a go and was devastated that they didn't fit! The sockets are different sizes!!.. Like some sick, cruel awful fucking joke .. why do that? They know fans wanted fists Edit: I made it work! ..fortunately the fists on this superman are smaller so I just made the holes bigger to fit A.C 1k supes, I used the reamer tool on a Swiss knife to carve a bigger hole to accommodate the size, trying every occasionally to try and fit them on, it was a bit of a squeeze but it worked, be careful not to snap the joint pegs if you try this and be firm but steady, good luck if you're trying this!
