i believe that the cat is shaped that way so that it can comfortably sit in the lap of a figure of your choosing.

Pretty sure it’s a cat sculpture of some sort. Looks nothing like a real cat and Catwoman is known to steal artwork and other trinkets in the likeness of cats. If it was meant to be a live cat, I find it hard to believe that they wouldn’t even paint eyes on it

Great review! I’ve passed on this several times at Target. I picked up the Batcave playset as a backdrop for my Mezco Five-Points Batman ‘66 figure set with a perfectly scaled Batmobile. I wish Todd would up the quality of these vehicles and play sets. I know he’s trying to create them as something that might have been produced back when he (and I) was a kid, but why? Folks buying these are collectors and would prefer higher quality, in-scale items rather than something Marx or Remco might have churned out as a kiddie toy back in 1966. Mezco, on the other hand seems to get it with their Five-Points line of figures. The nostalgia is there but with a 21st-century eye toward detail and quality.

I just purchased the lair today and I absolutely love it. However, with the exception of the Catwoman I've decided to go with the Mattel versions of Joker, Penguin and The Riddler figures so that I can maximize on their superior articulations. My plan is to produce a large scale oil painting on this diorama and I find the Mattels to be far more effective when attempting to achieve the kind of fun poses that help to capture their individual personas. As for the Batcave: I prefer displaying it with the Mattel figures and Batmobile. I even opted for the Hot Wheels version of the Batcycle because I can't stand the gray plastic McFarlane had used for the chrome accents.

Also probably the reason why the octopus isn’t on there. Nowadays everything is encompassed into the movies but back then almost everything was separate from the movies.

Yes it’s licensing issue. McF got the rights to make items from the tv series but the film rights were not included in the deal. At least not the symbols I guess.

I used the Mcfarlane batcave set with the Mezco Batman set, it works beautiful with it. But the disappointment with the scale with it made me not interested in this playset. The crappy scaling he did with the batcave combined with the 66 batmobile, really makes me wary about the announced 89 batmobile.

This set doesn’t have the scaling issues it’s fantastic The 88 Batmobile should be fine All the multiverse vehicles are excellent

In one of the FB groups I follow, a member posted a photo of an Egghead figure from this line, in McFarlane packaging. He said it was released in Hong Kong, but hasn’t been announced yet. If legitimate, that’s really great news. I did post a comment asking to confirm it’s not a custom. I tried to post a link, but I guess since it’s from a private group, YT automatically deleted it.

Trust me that's what makes it interesting 🤔 my favorite thing to see is how we store all r collection... trust me. I don't want to see your collection all cleaned up after 3 years of organizing, I want to see it how it is. My room looks very similar that's what makes it relatable. Also it shows alot of what u really have.why is it out of all your videos I enjoyed what was in the background the most?
