I'm 100% in agreement with you on there not being high heels on Wonder Woman. No action figure should ever be produced with high heels. Makes no sense in artwork that portrays super heroes wearing heels, and even less sense on a posable action figure.

I think there are a handful of characters that use sex appeal as part of their shtick, but by and large, I can't imagine any person that is going to do any amount of running that would choose to do it in heels over regular shoes.

True they are fictional characters, but at the same time they will spend countless pages explaining a plot or how someone's powers work to try to show realism, but then also have female characters run around in very small amounts of clothing, heels, etc. Because if we're being totally honest, if Batman is trying to hide his identity, then why is he NOT covering his mouth. Skin color alone can greatly narrow down who he is if a villain is trying to figure out who Batman is. And there is no justifiable reason for Power Girls boob window. Imagine how many bugs would get stuck down there when she's flying around. Haha it's all silly to be honest.

Personally I´d say, why not get both, but make the Power Princess the earth 3 version of Diana Superwoman, Mcfarlane has made a Superwoman, but it´s newer design version and Power Princess fits the pre new Frontier designs more accuratly. I dunno food for thought.

By most of the comments, it seems the ML Power Princess is the winner, and better figure in the long run. This works out for me, ‘cos I do have the Power Princess already, but I won’t be getting this version of Wonder Woman. I have a pretty large collection of different WW figures and I did want to add this McFarlane one to my addition, however probably not long after this video was made, it has shot up massively in price and really difficult to get for some reason?

I think it's a combination of McFarlanes lack of female figures and the fact that this is the first proper classic comic WW that he made. And probably just didn't make very many either since it's a female figure unfortunately... Hopefully it'll get another run so that everyone that wants one can get one!

@@ComicallyToys Ok, so I'm getting replies for both. So are Hasbro just putting out batches of varying quality or is it a more consistent issue? Because either way, it's not good, and it's now a guessing game for what anyone will get when buying a particular figure. So either the quality is consistently going down on the plastic or it's a 50/50 split between getting a figure that feels durable or one that feels like the arms will shear clean off at bicep, or maybe even dry-rot over time. This is what's making consider giving up on the line. Not the lack of accessories because at least way I don't have extra pieces to keep track of. As for re-used bodies, classic artwork makes most characters look pretty much the same on the printed page, so the same body in different colors and painted-on details never bothered me much either. But lower quality plastic is where I have a problem. The appeal in domestic action figures to me was that they felt like they would hold up over time better than imports which are infamous for being fragile, but now we're getting toys that feel like bendy figures without the wire. I'm thinking I'll at least just stick to buying the X-Men.

I honestly am not entirely familiar with Power Princess, but from my research, she was in fact designed to be similar to Wonder Woman. There are a few other characters on the Squadron Supreme that are like Batman and Superman as well, but I don't think the similarities are quite as strong as Power Princess.

Yeah... McFarlane keeps trying to trick people with great paints and decent paint jobs. However, that doesn't detract from the lenky, skinny body (she's WW for crap sake, give the lady some damn muscles!), the general lack of articulation (across the entire line), the damn rubber diaper, the SUPER short neck and the fact that her face sculpt kinda looks like Maynard, from tool, in drag! 🤣🤣 The hasbro figure is far superior, in my opinion... and that's saying a lot, considering how ML has really been phoning it in lately. But, that new female buck is pretty damn awesome!! Proportions are probably the best that we've seen on a female ML figure!...for the larger ladies anyways. Sik

For me, McFarlane can be very hit or miss. There is plenty that I really like, and there are many I also really am frustrated by. I think the diaper problem has gotten better over time, and especially on the WW figure is non-existent(as a problem) since it blends so well. But yes, the PP is seriously REALLY good. I'd love it if every new female figure came out on the same body. I can't imagine too many complaints if that happened...

Very in-depth, very to the point, and you make your case well in every regard! You rocked this one, man! I have both figures. I like the Wonder Woman better, but just barely. I think that the McFarlane WW needed a more intense facial expression of some kind. Either a nice smile, or an intense, ready-for-battle stare with some arching eyebrows. It's a little too ambiguous and non-committed expression for me. Like she's listening to Green Lantern tell his 10th truck driving experience story of the day or something. lol. It's not a terrible expression--the face is nice, but a better expression would give the figure a little extra zing. Her ankles is truly her Achilles heal. heh. They are UGLY...and I don't know anyone who doesn't look at that broken-up, white boot stripe without mutter something like: "That's unfortunate..." Power Princess is nice enough, but she's generic Wonder Woman, and the costume feels that way too. Some extra paint apps would have helped a lot to prevent that toy figure feel that it has---especially where the gold bits are concerned. Her face is great, but here hair looks too mechanical and not organic enough. It looks machine sculpted--perfectly arching strands at the part, etc. The hair could be better. Also Hasbro's less detailed shield & sword without some sort of extra paint apps serves up an even more generic feel to the figure. I liker her arms--her entire body and face--but the hair and lack of extra paint hurts it. Both are decent effort despite their shortcomings, but both companies need to up there game. McFarlane needs to get figure scaling down better, and needs to stop using ugly joints. It's 2024, yet Multiverse still thinks they can roll out archaic action figure joints. Sheesh. That Batman Knightfall figure proves that they can give us better. Now they have to live up to that. No more half-assing, Todd! Legends also has to do better because they can't afford to lose anymore customer good will. They are going to have to deliver on quality, accessories, and on action figure character choices. They can't keep pumping out Spider-Man, Wolverine, and Hulkbuster Iron Mans ever year. They need to give representation to other characters in the Marvel Universe that haven't had a figure yet. Where's those original New Mutants? The U-Foes? Winter Guard? Fightful Four? Stingray? Attuma? Gladiator (from DD)? Owl? Graviton? The Living Laser? BlackLash? Black Goliath? Quasar? Baron Mordo? Carrion? 1st appearance costume Rogue? Rachel Summers? Marina? All those Inhumans like Triton, Gorgon, etc...? Just sayin'

I think Hasbro's Legends head sculpting and painting has also been improving steadily. If they could roll out more accessories, paint apps and multiple heads, they'd really be walking tall.
