For me TV in the bathroom is weird. When you take shower it gets wet and steamy and that might effect electronics in TV or might not. The place is amazing, looks really nice. Great work. Enjoy this beautiful place!

I LOVE log cabins! It looked 1000x better before you changed it. Personally, I would have just cleaned it up and made some repairs. Oh, and finished the basement. You made it yours. That's all that matters I guess.

This upload was a good call. I remember the beginning of all this with the cages, the state of the cabin and the surrounding land etc. It's easy to forget how it was and how much work and effort has been put into this project. It was good to look back and appreciate the progress this far. 👍🏻

Man, I am so beyond envious! This "cabin" is turning out AMAZING!!!!!!!! You have totally made the right choice on making this your home. Looks awesome! Can't wait to see the deck, the pond, the mini bike track, the basement bar, and once again, you really need your own shooting range! You and your brother are going to be stoked on that place!

What amazing finishing work you all have done. Stunning! Why not powder-coat or paint that giant chandelier matte black like the other fixtures?? Those arms have a great fluid organic feel which is a nice contrasting touch. Keep the shades. Not everything has to be squared. Trust me. It will look great. As would matte silver. It's an ultra-modern, masculine interior. You soften the hardness with things like that. Maybe hits of one vibrant color throughout - just 6 or 8 hits of intense color, like sky blue. Likewise many hits of different solid jewel colors: fuchsia, cobalt blue, purple, emerald green, orange, silver; used in medium sized brushed silk or linen throw pillows, area rugs, large glass vase, art glass, sconce lighting fixture glass. Whatever you do, you have my compliments on this outstanding effort!

Kyle just my opinion I definitely would put in beautifully done flower beds and also a drive around country looking stone water fountain in the front of the cabin.....looking awesome

Hey Kyle, I found your channel 3 days ago and have just watched this entire series. You have totally transformed this great cabin. I will never under The Woods nuts who have kittens when wood is painted, honestly the reaction you’d think you were rolling over $100 dollar bills, lol. Your house, your money ...do whatever floats your boat! The only change I didn’t totally dig was the fireplace stone paint, but I read your comments that you are having it re done so I’m sure it will blend a little better when it’s finished.the deck and land scraping will make a huge difference. I definitely recommend having a landscaping compnay come and if nothing else just help you draw up plans. If you don’t want to hire the whole thing out you can buy just the plans and then source and plant the gardens yourself, they have the knowledge of what will thrive in your soil in your climate so you don’t waste money on trial and error with plants and trees which can get very expensive if they just die. I also highly recommend having an irrigation system put in before you finish all the landscaping. A great landscaping company can help design the deck, hot tub, possible future pool area if that’s on your future plans, garden beds etc. we had a really large property and this is what I did. We ended up doing the entire thing in 3 phases but I had the overall plans done up front so this really cuts down on double work, and extra costs and time when you have the full plan done a head of time. When you have that much land I think this would be a really good investment and then if you want to do parts of the project yourself, you can. I have only one question, and it seems it’s the same question so many others have. I don’t understand why you don’t use your own awesome log cabin in your thumbnail, versus someone else’s ? You have a beautiful home, you’ve worked hard on it, why not use it in your thumbnail ? I look forward to seeing the rest of the renovation soon come together, I bet the basement will be amazing as will the other two buildings.

At first I didn't like the outside colour but once the roof was painted black it looked absolutely right. 👌Blends well with the surroundings.

Outside of a few rotted beams that weren't very noticeable by this video, I don't think the house was ugly at all. It was very pretty... the house most likely stunk due to the rotting wood, mildew that was growing in the bathrooms and kitchen areas. I don't think the bathrooms were ugly at all, in need of a deep cleaning maybe... but you did do a beautiful job renovating the house to your personal liking. You fell into a bit of luck finding that house. I'm sure you'll be very happy there.

It's lost a lot of its authentic log cabin look which is a shame, sometimes in renovations things get overworked and made so modern that it doesn't fit in with the shell. It looks good but is a House now not a log cabin

Lovely home an excellent investment and good place to live. . Some good changes, some may not have been needed. Painting wood and rock is rarely a good decision. However this is your home. Please do not paint more rocks or finished wood,, they are neutral already, you have other needed budget items to buy. Aneasy entrance would be a good idea, even in the back.. good luck to you.

Wow very good transformation- the decking would of been fixed before taking the cages out - but great job keep going you are very fortunate to have this property - I’ve done fixer uppers with hardly any funds but plenty of muscle - your doing so good - what about the basement??

You might consider after everything is done. Put in a vegetable garden. You have the land for it. When we lived out in the country our home was on a 3/4 acre lot. We had room for it. Maybe also put out trail cam's. That way you might get a good idea of the wildlife.

I would have done things a little differently. This is from a woman's perspective. :•) I would have put the kitchen area all the way in the back. Totally opening up that whole bottom floor area and a lot more options. And the door to the upstairs bathroom should be out of the bedroom not the landing area? You take your shower in your nice master bath and then have to go across that open loft area so the entire bottom floor gets a floor show? Ha. Weird. And I would not have left a muddy pool of water in the middle of the circular driveway? And I would have just sandblasted the chimney. Or painted it one solid color. It still looks a little 'painted'. But THAT house was most certainly was a great find and all in all a good reno. I've enjoyed the series. Cheers.

Did you get solar panels? If not I strongly suggest you get them as where you live you will get pretty much free electricity all year round. Do you have a well or river nearby? If so consider a connection. Also collecting rainwater/melting snow to be reused for things like irrigation, toilet flushing and, with the appropriate filters, animal troughs if you have a plan for any animals in the future.
