McGuire Gibson taught the first college course I ever took in the fall of 1968. He was just out of school himself at that time. Once during class he mentioned "subcircumscion" practiced by the Australian aborigines. After class, I asked him what "sub circumscion" was. He explained in great detail. It was a Monday and I had not eaten since Friday night. I promptly fainted. He sat with me for an hour while I recovered. During that hour it seemed like everyone from my high school (Lane Tech) who went to UIC passed by and said hello. I never saw any of them again.

Great video, covering the history of this interesting dig site. I also grew up reading Breasted, so I enjoyed learning of his part in this dig.

McGiure Gibson, great man work archaeological survey and excavations in iraq, his works very important to know a lot about ancient Mesopotamia civilization. thanks
