I would love to see Duquesne Avenue. My grandmother and her family lived there. It was off of Jenny Lind

Walt thank you for showing my mom's house. When you made the left to go down by right off if Soles by the Cemetery I saw the house on Lawndale a white truck was parked on the street and mom's house was the brick porch where my brother lives now.

Walter, thanx for the detailed trip thru what's left of McKeesport. We left in 1970 as they were removing the train tracks. Can't imagine the town not completely stopping when the train went thru all the crossings. There were two waiting rooms- one on Locust; the other on Ringgold. We all waited for our buses to White Oak, Jenny Lind, the Hospital, Port Vue, ect. My family had a grocery on Union across from the reservoir. Two doors down from Wid's. All the buildings are gone; replaced by a water tsnk. Although my Grandparents' and family home in Beaver is up and occupied. What I remember and miss are unfor

Walter, thanks for the videos. Watch yourself because of the recent shootings. With all the bad housing, is the population down to 10K?

Walt the burned house on lower Soles St was 1 block down off Versailles toward the hospital at the intersection of Lamont St I think it is called . The burned house was supposed to be on the right side of Soles St. but down on Lamont St. By the way there are 11 houses in a row on the right going up on Soles St that are either burned or condemned. Why they don't just demolish them at once. I'm surprised they haven't started on the other 6 houses on Ridge St. contracted for demolition they could finish off the fire burned one as not much is standing.

It honestly is sad what mckeesport has become. So many good looking houses gone to crap. I still see some good in my town but i think crime has made this city unattractive

With winter right around the corner they don't seem in the hurry to do any more work. Wisconsin contractors would have been working 6 days a week and hauling debris out as they went. Trucks would have been down 5th Ave ready to roll.
