I agree with this! Some of the expansion ideas the CPL have come up with don't make sense. I think you need teams that are close together having visiting fans in your stadium is huge. Which helps a team's bottom line, whether it is attendance or local businesses near the venues. I think expansion like London, Oshawa and KW make sense. Edmonton could work it boils down to venue and ownership that is willing to promote the team. Edmonton is a sports city. I disagree with the stadium part I feel like the Tim Hortons field and Td place scale down pretty well. However, IG field does not at all. But as fan you want to go the premier venue that has the basic necessaries like proper washrooms and concessions. Toronto is tough because you are not just dealing with the soccer market but several professional teams. Its too crowded. I would look at one of the boroughs like Scarborough or East York that have their own identity but still a part of the city.

You need to give more love to the province of Quebec. Having the second largest population in Canada and producing the best talents for national team. I would expand in Laval and Longueuil

Montreal in MLS is bleeding money unlike TFC who is printing money. I love Montreal & Laval as cities but I just can't see them supporting a CPL team long term. Quebec is odd in that if everybody on the team isn't French nobody will care and you simply can't build a team like that in the CPL.

@@mckeezeyhmm not sure looking at attendance of last year on tranfermarket we had an average number of 17k in a stadium of 20.3k. And we played really bad last year. Toronto had an avg of 25k on an 30k capacity

KW makes a lot of sense. You can draw fans from all the towns around, Guelph, Cambridge, Halton... even Mississauga and Burlington to some extent. And they already hate Toronto so any team going in there has a ready made rivalry.

What about Windsor? 420,000 in the metro area, not to mention over 4,000,000 across the river in Detroit. What do you think?

Might as well call it the Ontario Premier league with that plan. Comparing english football's close proximity with their teams to cpl is ridiculous. UK small, Canada big. I do agree that playing in CFL stadiums is dumb and looks bad.

I disagree 100% with the stadium idea. I hold season ticket for Valour not for the lousy crappy team we have but for the stadium and what it has inside. Is like flying first class. Lol Sure you can get to the same place squished like sardines on a rickety propelled plane. But having comfortable seats and a roof for the rain and good bathroom and food.... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
