So here's the difference from internet search: "Sheath dresses fit tightly from bodice to hem, and emphasize the shape of an hourglass figure, while shift dresses are shapeless and conceal the body shape" I personally also call sheath dresses column dresses if they're longer than knee length. Hope that helps. ❤😊
