McKenzie Lake vs McKenzie Towne in Calgary…which one is right for you?
These two Calgary communities share a border along Deerfoot Trail. But at this border the similarities diverge. Come along for this tour 🚗 and see if these Calgary communities are what you are looking for. 🙂
McKenzie Lake is older and more mature and has that gorgeous lake to paddle ⛵️on and enjoy some skating in the winter. Mckenzie Towne is newer with more commercial areas and has a NEW URBANISM development style to encourage walking , cycling 🚴 and is in close proximity to shopping.

Great video! Well, one of them has a lake... If you like swimming and if you like to spend time in Fish Creek Park the answer is obvious. Mckenzie Towne is definitely more affordable and its a pretty decent neighbourhood, although traffic really sucks.

Well, I supposed it depends on many variables. For us, we do love the close proximity to the mountains as we are hikers / backpackers / skiers. But I can appreciate that Calgary is not for everyone.
