Thanks! You can actually feel the rattling from the adjuster and just a few little turns you can hear its gone.

Awesome man, thanks for the video. My S1000XR has gotten loud, so I'm also getting a manual tensioner.

I really like your vids, but im here to see if you can help me! Im having problems with the original chain cam tensioner, my 2018 s1000r is having lots of vibatrion in that cam chain, i already changed the original hydaulic tensioner 2 times, and for one month or less the issue its gone, then it comes back again. Any problems with the manual tensioner? How many miles or kilometers between ajusments. Thk in advance sir!

does this need to be fixed. my sk1r is doing as well only at start up or cold startups

macarlos619 most of the time when we turn our bikes on it's almost like a dry start but when the motor warms up it goes away

If the noise doesn't bother you and it's only on startup then I wouldn't be concerned. My bike was ridden hard with rattle on startup and no difference to performance at all. If the rattle stays on after startup then I would give it attention. You can still ride the bike but don't max it out until it gets fixed.

Hi Brian. My 2018 S1KR has the rattle from startup and does not go away at all. Will the mechanical adjuster eliminate or minimise the noise or do I have a bigger problem at hand? Bike has 9000km on. Had Rapid bike Evo, sprint filter and full Akra headers installed. Thanks alot

The manual adjuster is more reliable than the mechanical one from what I've seen, however if you don't want to pay extra for a manual one, the OEM replacements are cheaper but will most likely fail again at some point and cause the rattle. Versus, if you got a manual adjuster if the rattle appears again all you would have to do is adjust it instead of buying a new one again.
