@@lg9839 Why yes, Apex is a company and every for-profit company is a "money making exercise", in a way. But I think what Joe meant is that Apex doesn't exist for Robert to squeeze every last cent of possible profit out of it and you can tell that is true by just how the company is run. For example: I ordered a jacket from them and by mistake they sent me two - instead of asking for one of 'em back they said "No, it's fine. Keep both."

also, within the non-season you have expenses but not a dime of revenue. quite risky and therefor the prices are definitely more than fair. but of course you dont have to drive a 720S if you don't wanna pay that money.

2 of my friends and I bought a lap in the M3 in August 2018. At first I was a little bit hesitant, because of the €269 for only approx. 8 minutes of action. But the whole experience right from booking a lap in the Taxi-office to the amazing driver was really fantastic! - I would not have guessed that the driver was driving conservatively, to protect the car! 10/10 would definitely book again! :D

Thanks gentlemen for the cost breakdowns. Those of us with mid-level domestic performance cars get crazy when we have to spend $200 for some brake pads, $200 for set of rotors. The Maclaren is no joke.. those numbers are eye opening. The taxi fare is sweet..

Interesting video guys, thanks for the insight into running your operation. Remembering back to the first concept of "Apex" and the "shitbox rental" I can see why you decided against having it. Seems to me if it was very popular you would have had to replace almost every part on a "shitbox" car within the first month and would still be concerned for the safety of the car and any passengers.

Great video - excellent explanation of costs. From your video I've been looking at Nankang tires here in the States for my 09 Porsche Cayman (base) that I do not track except for occasional slower charity laps. Still trying to figure out the appropriate Nangang tire that I should use (suggestions welcome). I'm in no rush to buy because the tires on the car now will be good for a while to come but just planning ahead.

hey guys great videos - keep them coming! Really appreciate the breakdown of costs on the McLaren- I am just selling my 12C and getting a 570S Spider with Ceramic brakes. Was wondering if you guys have looked into Pagid RSC pads for the 720 or if your using some other aftermarket pad or factory pads, please let me know as I would love to take advantage of your experience here, thank you! One other question has to do with track alignment on these cars - are you running a more aggressive alignment for track if so could you shed some light on how you achieved this as most of the geometry on McLaren's is very limited in adjustment. thanks!

Just have in mind that fixed costs as the staff salaries except taxi drivers’ is fair to be splitted among all APEX running cars and then the fixed cost calculation would be adequate

Super video, yea when you look at the prices you think ah scary. But when you think about it in my case even before the video and definitely after the video, with all the costs involved the prices you charge are really reasonable, your not even making that much of s profit. You know I've always thought Robert looks like such a genuinely nice decent honest person, wish all business people were like him, shows you can be successful and be nice and not be an arse! Imagine blimey he's kids are going to be so happy he's their dad, they'll just be like wow he's done so much he's amazing, I can imagine them thinking he's like a super hero or something lol! Obviously Misha is amazing too all the same for misha as I've said for Robert! But just wanted to say it because Roberts more behind the camera! :)

With a few good targetted sponsership deals, you would be able to take your fixed costs down a lot. If you are running +1000 laps a year, imagine the “broadcast” time you could make for a brand.
