Very good stuff as always, Mike! I have a thought in mind about the Moroccan Orange bitters... I wonder if, in the Revolver's case, the orange oils from the flamed peel might not compensate for the subtler orange flavours in the bitter itself? It's a thought as someone who hasn't tried these, but I wonder if the accompanying botanicals and aromas might serve the citrus peel better than being on their own? Anyhow, this was fun and I'd like to try a couple of these cocktails at home too (haven't tried the Revolver so I'll let you know how that goes!).

@@alroth1035 hey Al! Always good to see your comments! You may be right, those extra orange oils on top might have helped bring out that orange pith flavor I liked so much in the raw bitters tasting, but at that point I’d worry it was all from the orange peel, since I didn’t get ANY orange from the bitters in the revolver. Funnily enough, I spoke with the rep from McMann and Tate a little bit ago about this very thing and all of their testing found that the orange bitters doesn’t hold up against darker spirits. They’re gonna reformulate it in the next production batch to try and rectify that, so I’ll probably revisit it later. Glad you enjoyed the video! Do give them a try, each one of these certainly has its merits and the revolver is a great place to start. A proper orange bitters would’ve made that an excellent nightcap drink. Cheers friend!
