The theme for this year's gOT Spirit challenge is "changing perspectives". Our goal for this initiative was to engage with the student body and faculty around us, and have them reflect on the things that they do in their daily lives - their occupations!
The inspiration for this project came from some of the work by Dr. Karen Whalley Hammell, as well as her Muriel Driver Lecture at this year’s CAOT conference.
The end result was a visual-representation that depicted a variety of important occupations and the feelings that they may imbue in the daily lives of those we interacted with. It was also a great way to speak about occupational therapy with those around us, while allowing them to pause and reflect for a moment in their busy day.
