Turbo yoda: the fuel pump part that you remove look like the inertial switch in some car that I worked before. It is design to stop the pump in case of car crash to prevent the fire with an incapacitated occupant ( safety ) . Very annoying part went you don't need it, but really important when you are out inconsciente

I was just about to post the same thing. Ford and Mazda used those things all over the place in the early '90s (at least in the US). They were a little more obvious and have reset buttons on them though. It used to be a bit of a scam for someone to run over a big bump, causing their car to die, and have a disreputable tow and repair shop come hook it, charge them for a new pump, and simply just reset the button.

Would bet that the mystery box is a safety thing. Upside down or hard hit and it should cut the connection to the pump so it doesn't keep pumping gas into an accident.

I can't say it enough. I used to like the "car" shows on Discovery, but then I figured out they were fake as anything. Now I wait for MCM and MCMTV2 every week. Turbo Yoda definitely needed his own show with all the knowledge he has!! Same for the crew there, don't get me wrong!

I cant believe the talent and creativity you guys have with these conversions, very informative but enjoyable too. the only thing thats bugging me with this build is the battery and surge pot proximity in the event of a 'slide' getting out of hand and causing those two to have a devastating meeting. was there not room on the left side of the boot or any other location within?? oh and turbo al, you related to einstein?? haha

Top video boys, I noticed right at the end with the catch can setup, by the looks this isn't going to be a road car as you have it with a vented catch can? Where is the PCV system pulling all the gunk from the crankcase under vacuum, doesn't make sense to me to have a crankcase with no vacuum pulled on it allowing all the condensation, blowby and acids etc to settle and damage the engine and turbos, needs vac ports at the turbo inlets/post air filter plumbed up the the catch can or put a dedicated vacuum pump on instead of having them just vented to atmsophere is my two cents.

Just drained the vented catch can on my LS the other day, you don't want what was in there going back into the engine that's for sure.
