For one, Mark is my friend and neighbour and I was involved in him buying it. Two, I'm also a friend of Tom's and I help him look after his car's and was actually looking after his WRC escort on thus event, hope this clarifies things for you 👍

McRae was a special driver talent and he was always flat out amazing to be watching him in action in the uk in Wales. Absolute legend and he will always be remembered for his incredible talent and such a great man. I remember the sad day he died. Shocking loss and sad loss to the WRC. Had a shock when driving to the next stage and Colin came driving past me and my mate. We even got a thumbs up and a gear drop and show of power.

That was great viewing. I, like many others was saddened back in 2007. I never new an event like this took place and I'd liked to have been there. I'd been to a couple of rallys when Jimmy was to the fore but too busy farming to see any with Colin (other than tv). I wish the McRae family all the best.

Colin did one of those 4 Wheel Burnouts in Forrest Chase Perth in front of us after Winning Rally Australia. Clerk of Course was not happy but we were 😂

Couple of things, I was stood about 10 yards from Colin when he lifted the WRC trophy in Chester, 27 years ago seems like yesterday. What a great family they all are, so likeable, as for Jimmy hope I look half as good as him at his age, as for Dirtfish without a doubt the best channel on here, great coverage and always fun As for the wet eyes I'm suffering, must be some dirt in them thrown up from Alistair 😭. This event will now be on my to do list, see you next time. Colin.....Gone but never forgotten ❤️❤️

Met the McCraes in motorsport show in Birmingham NEC in the 1980s when Colin was just a grinning kiddie. Or was it in Olympia in London? I forget .

I write this with a heavy heart, Colin was a superb iconic driver yet sadly a reckless pilot. The CAA report concluded his actions overstressed the aircraft in some very dangerous maneuvers he killed everyone on board. I knew JImmy and still my heart goes out to all the McRae family.

Downdraughts and helicopters, on certain days, don't fly too low, no. Sunny but cloudy.... Thermals up, and downdraughts outside them.... 😐
