Complete Hater BS. Except Ms Marvel everything in Phase 4 was amazing, in special Wandavision, Doc Strange 2, Wandavision, SM3 and Wandavision! The D+ Shows were amazing , too, did I already meantion Wandavision? Tbh...Wandavision in my eyes is the best MCU Product OVERALL! These people are doing the same in Movies now, what they did in the Comics since 7 decades. We are still in the beginning of Phase 4, still in the BUILD UP! And it HAS a direction, the Cosmic stuff! Galactus! THATS the Direction! And a Crossover, I think with Star Wars is more possible but with DC would be the Banger! But you only know that when you are not a stupid hater who talks out of his ass without having any knowledge of the History of this Company! Do you want the MCU to rush like the DCEU did? The Aftercredit Scenes are telling all a similar Story, where the future of the MCU goes. You Guys are mental, hating on them! What they do here, DC would never get done. Damn they didnt get it done in 70 years, everytime their Universe had more plotholes than Cheddar they made a Crisis event and rebooted. Marvel ONLY had soft reboots! That means if you buy a Fantastic 4 Comic today, in July 2022...it is still the same story of the same Fantastic Four from the same Universe like in june 1961 (btw...thats where the Name 616 originates...another thing you didn`t know I bet. 61.6...Release of FF #1, birthday of Marvel Comics) . 7:55 Here. THAT is 100% untrue! Damn man your whole criticism on Wandavision is a big bunch of nonsense, how ridiculous! They feel like adds because 2 minutes of 180 are advertising for the next project? WTF is wrong with you? It breaks all streaming records , won several Emmies and Olsen is now one of the highest paid actresses ever because of that show, but sure, Typoh the Hater from You Tube with 10k subs knows better... Delete your garbage channel dude... 11:50 yeah. proof you know nothing. "As far as I know thats all"... yeah.... except -Black Knight -Starfox -Hercules -Venom/SM announcement Secret Wars Announcement X-Men announcement FF announcement You wanna know what I really do not understand? You celebrate Phase 1-3 for their slow build up and now critizize Phase 4 for the exact same thing! You undertsand that the final they are working towards is the last Movie of Phase 6, yes? 13:55 BUT here is the key to it all! It is exhausting for you... Then how, instead of hating , you just go and watch one of the BILLIONS of not connected Movies out there instead of hating on the Guys, that do the connected Universe stuff better than everyone else! How RIDICULOUS! And btw: Star Wars HAS TWO connected Universe. Legends and Canon. And in both there are NEARLY (!!!) no plotholes, when you compare it to all other Universes. PLUS: ALL Star Wars Media can be sortet into one of this two Universes: Movies. Television, Animated, Comics, Videogames, Books! Dude you are just too stupid to follow stuff, your attention span is non existent and then you need to hate on stuff you know nothing about to get a shoulder clap from the rednecks of your bubble here on YT! Ridiculous dude, so ridiculous. Bad thing is... channels like yours are spreading like shidd.. 14:50 and sure, you have to bring up the old dwarf that had his last good Movie in the 80s^^ Scorcese should do the world a favor and dissapear...His Movies are way overrated btw! Its really funny how you use the scenes from "The Batman" as example for good Movies when "The Batman" is by far the worst Batman- and at the same time worst Superhero Movie of all Time. If you would have tell me that one Day BATMAN out of all characters would do it and dethrone Fantastic Four 2015, i would have have brought you to a doctor! Damn that Movie sucked really really bad... 16:40 And again, the dwarf is wrong! It is something Marvel Fans waited for for 50 f ing Years! And that are MANY people, that Guys like you think are not important! He is just WRONG in absolutely everything, exactly like you! 20:20 But you do! 22:10 THAT is exactly what they ARE doing, even if Guys like you deny it! Damn you made me a Marvel Fanboy with this garbage. I am not! I am a Nerd and watch ALL of these. NOTHING exhausting! So..how about you stop hating on stuff , just because your mind isn`t capable of following it? No it is not something special, it is not complicated. When YOU cant follow the MCU, despite it being so easy to find out, it is a sign for YOU having a short attention span and are not capable of seing the bigger picture. i mean you proof that more than once in this Video, too! Today you found someone that for sure will NEVER subscribe to your Channel! Your Vid was recommended to me, now I ban you, goodye forever!

Each project in Phase 4 is about a different character, and while that sounds exciting it gets exhausting and impersonal quickly. The MCU's most serious problems , in my opinion, are these: 1. Oversaturation- Now , granted, this is partially not Marvel's fault. There are just so many movies at this point that it was inevitable for it to become impossible to micromanage 2. Fatigue- Its no secret that Infinity War and Endgame was, for a lot of people, the "end" of the MCU And people were alredy tired of having to watch so many movies just to catch up on what was happening in this interconnected universe Its made even worsr now with Marvel itself not knowing what to do with the premise of the multiverse But by continuing to release multiple movies a year and throwing in half a dozen shows at this point, they're just digging their own grave

@@poptartthefourth7295 I'm sorry if you think those examples are good writing. Peter Parkers arc in NWH is just really superficial and is a retread from Homecoming, i haven't seen Thor yet but from what i've heard he's even barely a charachter and just a punchline, Wanda basically doesn't even have an arc since they cheaply turn her choice to go evil into it just being the corruption of the book instead of it being purely charachter based. This has been a trope within marvel for quite a while mind you where they don't know how to make a charachter turn really evil so they just use a mcguffin that turns them evil. Red skull with the superserum, Loki with the staff,... The problem now is just that they don't even try to make good movies anymore, they just make setups for the next ones, even NWH is basically only really good in the second act, the first is too slow paced and spins it's wheels, the third is just a basic drawn out fight sequence where all the baddies randomly decide to fight the good guys because reasons ? My main gripe with phase 4 is that they introduce a cool concept/direction and before they can really push the creative limits of said concept/direction they reel back so hard that, in best case scenarios, it's replaced by a less cool concept/direction, or in worse cases it's completely undermined by the lack of confidence from the writers as they struggle to pull from what worked before in a way that really ruins the movie/show.

As bad as movies like Thor: Dark World, and Ant Man and the Wasp were, they at least helped develop the characters, improving them somewhat. But Peter in the MCU has always felt like part of Ironman. Not his own character. MCU Spiderman's powers aren't his own, and aren't a result of Parkers only intellect or drive. He was given his spider suit instead of creating it himself, and Stark's 'nanotech' seems to do more for him in fights than anything else. He needed an origin TRILOGY and yet still feels like less of a character than any of the Guardians did in their first film, despite that being a team of heroes instead of just one. Then, despite making Stark 90% of his character, they decide to still kill off Aunt May instead of using Stark's sacrifice as the catalyst for his character progression. Made worse by the fact that Aunt May dying is 100% the result of his own stupidity. With the supposedly highly intelligent hero releasing dangerous prisoners back to his flat so he can cure them at his PORTABLE lab. He just feels like Tony's lost sidekick. Spiderman's ego is never portrayed. His intelligence is only included in that 'geometry' scene which is just stupid. And he just feels like a very contrived and confused character. People still ate NWH up because "OMG look! Andrew and Tobey!" but MCU Spiderman just sucks. He does just echo Tony's character. But in a bland, unoriginal and watered down form. Miles Morales from Spiderverse feels more like Peter Parker than Peter Parker.

@pagatryx54512 жыл бұрын
@@lorddj9910 I know. But I'm saying Stark should have been Peter's 'Uncle Jack' and should have been used as the primary cause of Peter's developing character over Far From Home and No Way Home. It feels like, considering his character is so dependent on Stark, the movies should have focused on Stark's death as the origin of transformation Peter's character needed. It feels like they dropped the ball with Stark's death in Far From Home, and instead of trying to go back to that and doing it properly, they decided to just do it again with Aunt May. This time similarly feeling disappointing as Aunt May's death is directly related to Peter having less intelligence than people his own age, and being both of their faults (in more ways than one). In comparison to Stark's death, where he died saving the universe from an external threat, marking the end of a decade long movie series. TLDR: Sure. Love ones dying is a major theme in Spiderman and it's not what I have problem with. However, these deaths usually mean something and leave a strong impact on Parker. However Stark and May's deaths were very poorly handled in the MCU and don't mark a turning point in Parkers character or worldview. They're just portrayed as mildly sad moments to make Parker do hero stuff.

The movies that stand on their own the best are the ones that introduce characters, Black Widow and Shang Chi. Their universe connections were largely just background and deep-dive reference stuff. Narratively they were independent. They weren't liked because they didn't have strong enough connections to other MCU properties. You can't have it both ways. Most of the Disney+ Shows are astoundingly good. Love and Thunder is one of the better Marvel Films in composition and execution. You can totally not enjoy those. It’s incredibly frustrating on how they use “bigger and better” as an excuse for bad CGI. I in no way blame the CGI artists (after hearing the work environment) but Marvel has got rid of using practical effects almost entirely. Suits that can absolutely be made in real life are fully CGI, Eternals for example which was great still (suits not the movie), but they can take the money they put into that and put it in places we actually will watch. Black Panther has such an ugly final battle that it’s just enough to knock it out of my top 10 MCU projects. It’s really difficult to try and defend this phase anymore after everything so far, mediocre stories with mediocre CGI. I never cared much for perfect cgi but when it’s so noticeably inconsistent it affects how I feel about the movie. I loved some stuff from this phase, but with no direction and no guideline for the future I have little hope in what Marvel is doing. They earned my trust but they lost a lot of it this phase. If by the end of next year I can’t see where this franchise is going I don’t know if I’m going to be so crazy for it. I also hate the implication of the D+ shows. They’re extremely inaccessible for everyone (I have it but it’s irritating for marvel fans without that luxury) and it’s it feels like homework more than fun content now.

For me I just feel as though there’s a balance to everything. The writers need to be able to balance the individual story and setting up future projects. The story should take more importance than future projects, as otherwise it feels like a commercial for something later on. Phase 1 and 2 worked due to the fact that the stories had a great balance between setting up the avengers and thanos while also developing characters. Wandavision got lost in the task of setting up future things that it forgot the main point of the show was to focus on Wanda. Loki was too busy creating Loki’s replacement and setting up the multiverse to give our Loki proper character development and an actual story. The writers need to balance world building and plot and that’s why MoM failed so hard for me. The plot is flimsy, and really just wants to build up future projects with cameos.

Agreed. Although, I'm liking that both Moon Knight and Thor: Love and Thunder are focusing more on being their own stories instead of seeming like commercials. They don't seem like something that need homework to enjoy. You don't need to watch A, B and C to understand and enjoy D.

But near the end of both of those shows, it's definitely felt like they were trying to speed things up and get this show out of the way, both of them, just so we can hurry up and get to the next films. That is not how these properties should be treated. They definitely should have gave low key and wanted some more character development. Like in a season 2 or something like that. Don't just rush it to get straight to the next film. All this Russian made me feel like I'm missing so much extra context. Never mind some of these shows being made two plus years ago. Same! Watching Marvel movies was such a big thing for me when I was a kid, both good and bad. The best was when my entire family and I went out to watch Endgame the night it released, seeing so many people just yelling and cheering was amazing. I even cheered a bit. The worst one was when I wasn't in a very good state of mind at the time and all I could remember was how Civil War would be my last Marvel movie since I was for sure about to just end it, but people helped me improve and here I am! Also, I feel like the old Marvel TV shows were perfect the way they were, stories that fleshed out the world but wasn't essential to the mainline MCU. Now, if I want to know what happens in the MCU, I have to watch the tv shows and that shit is boring. It's not an event, I'm just sitting down in my couch wearing pajamas.

This is when it becomes noticeable that for many years The Avengers and associated characters were essentially a second-rate superhero team compared to the likes of X-Men and Fantastic Four. Those two plus Spider-Man were always Marvel’s best-selling comics, whereas most of the characters featured in the MCU were often more likely to feature in their own standalone series’s like Thor, Hulk, and Dr Strange.

I am not really upset that all the projects do not connect into the overarching narrative. It is really refreshing to see smaller scale conflicts like Hawkeye where the whole entire world is not at risk of dying. I think having more disconnected stories is fine for Phase 4 as this is a restarting point. A lot of the films in Phase 1 did not directly connect. Plus there is an evident direction the franchise is going, Secret Wars. With the multiverse open and the introduction of incursions, we are headed towards a mulitversal war with Kang and Dr Doom in Secret Wars. So there is a direction.

I agree, it's the Thanos problem a villian whose intent is explained through multiple movies and actually has a good motive and doesn't drop dead (The Joker, Bane, Thanos, Magneto, Dormamu) is more engaging then these toss away villians. Doctor strange 2 could have been two movies if the writers wanted it to be but they just had to make Wanda commit hirakiri so we can move on to something else, (atleast we know it's Dormamu and not something rushed and random). But still each movie is just one universe ending event after the next, I wish they would just scale it back a little and focus on the characters as CHARACTERS.

After endgame, now that people have felt the adrenaline of seeing 2 decades worth of movies come to a conclution in an epic finale against a threat to the universe, they have become too impatient. It's like we want a good cheese cake but take the cheese cake out of the oven before it's ready and then expect it to taste anything like the well made cheese cake tasted like Thats the best analogy I can think of. Another problem I have with Phase 4 that is more prominent in movies like Eternals is that the stakes are so unreasonably high every time that it stopped being believable anymore. The urgency is most of the times world-ending instead of something that’s more personally related with the characters. Like I know the Eternals are gonna win because it’d be actually stupid to end the world in a movie like that. The same goes for series like Falcon and the Winter Soldier and Moon Knight (this last one I have mixed feelings about). When the risk is that high in something so disconnected, there isn’t really much risk to begin with. If you want to make something disconnected, make it in a way smaller scale like with Daredevil and the Defenders shows. These kinds of superhero stories are stronger now more than ever because now less is more.

While my experience with phase 4 has been mostly positive, I can't deny it has some big problems. It's a pretty big step down from Phase 3 where everything scams together. And it doesn't help that they're mostly starting from scratch. And while I appreciate a lot of the experimenting, Disney has definitely showed their hand with how much they'll let more creative people do it. The thing is, despite e flip-flopping quality, I, still kind of on board with it. Like, phase 4 has had some of my personal favorite Marvel stuff, as well as some of the most forgettable, so while I wouldn't say it outright sucks, I can definitely say that there was a decline

My issue with marvel is trying to cram and resolve villains into a single movie and season. It's like what if X-Men in a single movie introduced magneto and he had his whole crazy long and drawn out character arc in a single movie. To me alot of these heros are introduced tossed out and replaced and marvel blew their load to early. I'm guessing the Video mentions this but for this reason Thanos is the best villain in the MCU. People are fatigued cause they are being bombarded with Easter eggs and content but the content has no substance. While it's great that marvel has an ad infinitum amount of villains to make a movie about but want us to watch the same super heroes fight all these villains, the movies could benefit from cutting out the fat and making their movies focus on just the important ones. The reason Wanda made a good villain in strange 2 is cause we had a connection to her, and the reason Gorr was a disappointment was because his importance wasn't established cause his situation HAD to be resolved in a single episode. This is what DC does so well, the Joker is an established villain and doesn't just drop dead at the end of a Batman movie to be replaced by some random.

Here's my thing with phase 4. I'm willing to acknowledge that a lot of what we've gotten so far has been mid. But I'm not really ready to say that the mcu is dead and it has no more direction. We have to acknowledge that the fantastic 4 and x men are coming, and with them villains like dr doom, galactus, magneto, ect. I guess the thought of what we could potentially see in the future is what keeps me around. I'm willing to give any new release a chance because some of them ARE still good. I could be wrong, but based on stuff i've heard Feige say about having movies planned through 2028, it's clear that they are building towards something and it's just too early for us to see it. I’m personally optimistic of what they’re doing next. As of now, the reason why people aren’t liking it is because, as you said, it seems to lack direction. But that’s just how it’s going to be for the next few movies. This is like phase 1 all over again, with the rebuilding of new teams and characters to create these teams. It’s the building phase, I personally feel like it’d feel weird if there wasn’t a lot of time between Endgame and the next big superhero team up film. It wouldn’t feel as meaningful, and we’d only be expecting the next team up film every year or two, instead of having to wait 3,4, or even 5 years. I feel that we just had such a short time between Infinity War and Endgame, really only being virtually a year between the films, that now we expect them to already have the next big bad officially announced and a team up film to follow thereafter. I personally feel that patience is key here, otherwise you really are just going to think that this entire phase sucks, because you aren’t looking at it for what it is, a rebuilding phase. I mean of course I already want to know when our next team up film is in the works, but I’d rather wait and hopefully have a quality film when the time comes. Until then it is completely fine to come up with theories, like how I personally believe the next “big bad” (and I mean Thanos level, not just Loki or Ultron level), is going to be Kang the Conqueror, but that’s just me and my opinion.

@@JUICYPOPCORN Disney has all the resources in the world to never release filler. They have amazing IP & have enough money to hire any Director/Writer. I’m not saying every movie should be Avengers but they shouldn’t be a waste of time

I agree to a point. I think the disjointed and no direction feeling of the current phase is by design. The overarching theme of the next few phases is MULTIVERSAL BLEED THROUGH. The ultimate goal is to bring all of the newly re-aquired properties into the same universe so that they can eventually bring the greatest stories from the comics to the screen. Theirs alot of great interaction between Avengers, X-Men and Fantastic 4. That being said they are adding alot of unnecessary filler projects into the mix and writing quality has definitely gone down. I haven't given up hope completely....but phase 5 is not looking good.

we'll be dead before that's the MCU though. So I guess it feels like...non existent

@@thetrib1 it’s already happening. It doesn’t matter if they keep making movies or not; there will always be kids and nerds who go to watch it - but that doesn’t mean it’s still good. The MCU has been in a downward spiral since infinity war and there’s no sign of stopping.

@@razarryan2465 please name the franchise that is over due to 0 interest that keeps making projects? if there will always be kids and nerds who watch it then does that mean that number will shorten? you think there will be less nerds and kids in the future? why is that?

I love your commitment to using Smiling Friends footage, I'm hoping you keep doing this long enough that I can reconstruct the entire series using clips from your vids 😅 Totally agree with your views on Phase 4 as well, there seems to be a severe lack of focus right now

I think for a lot of people, maturity grows, and interests have peaked. Also, it's not hard to notice that Marvel has realized that their fan base is so abundant, that their movies don't require the same amount of effort. A true fanatic prefers quality over quantity. It feels as if we have been bombarded with way too much content. You would have to be borderline obsessed to keep up with all of the shows and movies.

To be fair is it really that hard to keep up with one episode a week? Plus an additional movie every few months? That really doesn't feel like too much considering how long a year is.

@@racool911 For me personally, it is very hard to maintain focus. I love Marvel, but I don't love what it's becoming. It's hard for me to keep up specifically because I work 50 hours a week, and have two small children. If a show or movie is good enough, I will make the time to view it. But I haven't had rhe desire to make time for everything Marvel related.

@@racool911 I'm a massive My Hero fan and I just kind of... stopped halfway through the newest season. Not because it's bad, I actually loved it, it's just a focus thing.

Ive seen basically everything except for Ms Marvel. You're making this seem like its a much bigger deal than it actually is. An episode a week and a movie every couple of months isnt that hard to keep up with. That being said I do wish it were possible to skip certain MCU entries without feeling like you missed out on something important

A small scale superhero story with rich character should have been phase 4. The perfect example I can think of is jojo bizarre adventure of all thing : after defeating an actual supergod that can stop time, now they are figthing low scale big brain battle against a single dude who just enjoy murdering people in his free time that wants nothing to do with the protagonist. In my mind, this single dude is a better antagonist than all of marvels villain including thanos. (Making it vague for those intrigued)
