Namor is a badass heavy hitter in marvel comics. He has gone head to head with the hulk and beat him, took on the whole Fantastic Four numerous times, Fought and beat Iron man pretty bad, went head to head with Hercules, and walk away from that battle without defeat. He isn't the one to be slept on if they go by how he is really portrayed in the comic books.

As much as I was a fan of Chadwick, T’Challa isn’t the one who died. Hero’s are replaced all the time, such as the Hulk. I do believe the character should have been continued, without disrespect to Chadwick.

That's my only issue with the MCU. I see them simply moving on and going with Shuri which negates the true impact T'Challa's Black Panther had in Marvel Comics. If they can recast Hulk, War Machine and even Thanos, i don't know why they can't recast T'Challa

Agree, King T’Chala’s character are too good to be write off out of the franchise. They can still honor Chadwick in so many ways. Michael B Jordan can even be recast as T’Chala. For sure Chadwick will be very happy and besides MBJ invested a lot for the first movie and really have had a deep connection with the project. Introducing Namor and Atlantis could set up a dream scenario. Namor saves Kilmonger. Kilmonger had asked to be buried at sea. Turmoil and uprising occur as Shuri face challengers to the throne. Kilmonger faces her would be challengers. His true redemption happens not in defending Shuri but in declining the opportunity to rule Wakanda passing the crown 👸🏽 onto Shuri but instead takes up the mantle of Black Panther. Completing Kilmonger’s redemption arc.

OK, this is a great first step in the right direction for the character and looks similar to the character as well . Not bad but Kevin Feige and Damson Idris would both need to come to an agreement to make this work . I believe on recast T’Challa so his stories could continue and bring in Namor to the MCU will make a incredible story to his arc as well. Now I know that many of people will fight you tooth and nail to kill off the character offscreen but look at like this “ you write a book, it get published, they make it into a movie, it’s a hit, they continue your story by making a part 2 but the main character to your story is found dead . How would you feel if the studio said we read your book and we saw his sister have similar powers like the main character so we’re going to kill him off because someone said they wasn’t going to see the movie do to the actor died. So they rewrite your story to a few people happy but who really was disrespectful? If I remember it correctly Stan Lee and Jack Kirby was the ones who created Black Panther not Chadwick Boseman. T’Challa was created in 1966 , 10 years before Chadwick Boseman was even born. So people got it twisted on that the studio be disrespecting Chadwick Boseman by having another actor play the role. I believe that most people don’t want that Chadwick Boseman was the perfect person to play T’Challa but since he passed away should be the only person to play T’Challa. Maybe this could bring a different perspective to the character besides his looks. Chadwick Boseman was an amazing actor and will be missed so let’s respect his legacy and finish what Marvel Studio and Marvel Comics started.

I was just having a conversation with myself (yes, I do that. Haha) and I was thinking about how they could really keep Black Panther going without killing him off. Buckle up, this is gonna be kinda lengthy. Okay, so, now that Bucky has overcome his issues in Falcon and the Winter Soldier, I think that Marvel should do another Disney+ series centered around Bucky called The White Wolf. The series will be used to delve even further into Bucky Barnes, and will also be used as one of many installments to lay the groundwork for Bucky to take the place of Nick Fury as the Man on the Wall at some point in the future. The White Wolf series is also a parallel to his portrayal as The Winter Soldier. The White Wolf leads the Wakandan War Dogs, and they are essentially like an international police force, but they are currently being used for recon of the other nations. Killmonger tried to arm the War Dogs in Black Panther during his rise to power, so I'm thinking with Bucky now as the White Wolf, he's going to fulfill the role that Killmonger would of fulfilled if he lived and worked with King T'Challa. Instead, Bucky will be called upon by the royal family to assist with something revolving around a threat to Wakanda. This would start his journey in The White Wolf Disney+ series and would also be where they could start teasing more of Atlantis. I think it'd be dope to get a White Wolf version of the Black Panther suit, and the beauty of it is, if Marvel and Kevin Feige are trying to make Bucky the new Man on the Wall someday, it makes sense that he of all people would carry multiple monikers and aliases such as The Winter Soldier and The White Wolf- so he wouldn't have the White Wolf suit all the time, only when he's operating on Wakandan official business. Next, i remember hearing that they were doing a Black Panther Disney+ show that will be surrounding the ins and out of everyday life for the Wakandan people. I think this series will follow Shuri. Maybe she'll become Black Panther, or maybe the show will be used to set her up to eventually take on the mantle sometime after the show, which would more than likely be in Black Panther 2. I think seeing Shuri built up the way we got to see Sam and Bucky built up in Falcon and the Winter Soldier could not only be great for the screens but great for her taking on the mantle in Black Panther 2. Lastly, I don't think they should kill off Black Panther, and I have a way they could keep him going. Firstly, give him a Disney+ show. The show would be a prequel to both the Disney+ show surrounding Shuri and Wakanda, and the Disney+ show surrounding Bucky as The White Wolf, as well as the Black Panther 2 film. T'Challa is on a mission that leads to him to a place where he is no longer able to communicate with his people. The series would end and we would think maybe T'Challa might have died on the mission, leaving Wakanda without a King or a Black Panther. However, either during or after Black Panther 2, we would find out that Black Panther is alive. Now, I'm gonna pause for a second. In order for them to do all of this, they would need to recast the character, but here's how I believe they can do it properly without feeling like they're disrespecting the memory of Chadwick. First, pick your new T'Challa/Black Panther. Second, you can go one of two ways- make an animated Disney+ show and base the design of the new Black Panther on the new casting choice for the character, and have them voice the character, then reveal them in the MCU afterward. Or, and this is my favorite idea- put your new casting choice in the new suit, and you have him portraying T'Challa in a live action Disney+ show surrounding the aforementioned mission that T'Challa went on and supposedly died. You don't reveal his face the entire show, and since he's on a mission, there's no real reason to. This allows us to get familiar with this new Black Panther, and then the season finale makes us think he died, but it's meant to feel like Chadwick Boseman's Black Panther died. Then after his Disney+ show, The White Wolf Disney+ show, and the Disney+ show for Shuri, we get Black Panther 2. Everything from all three plotlines + the plotline from the film itself will come to a head. Shuri will take up the mantle of Black Panther and will face off against Namor (who has been tricked by Doctor Doom, using his knowledge of the history between Wakanda and Atlantis) and will be assisted towards the mid-end of the film by The White Wolf. Eventually, it's revealed in the film that T'Challa didn't die in his Disney+ show, and so he ends up coming back in the climax of Black Panther 2 and helping out Shuri and Bucky (and possibly Ororoe Monroe, but maybe not as Storm). They defeat Namor/it's revealed that Doctor Doom tricked him, and so he basically stops his assault on Wakanda and leaves. Shuri is now Black Panther and the Queen of Wakanda due to proving herself in T'Challa's absence. T'Challa willingly steps down as Black Panther, and finally, we get the helmet removed and see the new T'Challa. We then spend the next few Black Panther installments building up this new T'Challa until eventually after the introduction of the Fantastic Four, the MCU Reed Richards and the new MCU T'Challa will encounter the Panther Goddess Bast. This encounter will lead to the new casting of T'Challa to become the Black Panther of Necropolis, while allowing Shuri, the Black Panther of Wakanda to continue in her role. This will more than likely take place at the end of an MCU adaptation of DoomWar. Which takes place sometime after the events of Black Panther 4, more than likely, it would be the plotline for Black Panther 5. And it works so well because first, we close the chapter on our association of Black Panther T'Challa with Chadwick Boseman. We create a series of compelling stories for Bucky, Shuri, and T'Challa that lays the groundwork for the status quo of Black Panther going forward in the MCU. Then you culminate all that in the Black Panther sequel. You recast T'Challa but you never show his face. You make it look like he died in his show so that we the audience still associate that loss with Chadwick Boseman. You make Shuri the new Black Panther and Queen of Wakanda by having her prove herself in the assault of Atlantis led by Namor who has been tricked by a mysterious figure. You showcase Bucky as the White Wolf and further build his relationship with Wakanda, as well as make him one of the catalyst for the story. He finds T'Challa, helps him, then he's sent to help Shuri by T'Challa afterward so he can finish investigating what led him on his mission in the first place. You introduce Ororoe Monroe in Black Panther 2, she'll show up as Storm but she won't be Storm the whole film, and we won't know it's her until she pulls up in her comic MCU costume in the final fight. Instead, Ororoe is kinda on reserve from the X-Men like in the military, and so she returned to her homeland to live amongst her people until such a time as she is needed. So she ends up getting involved after Namor begins his assault. You get Shuri as Black Panther, Bucky as White Wolf, Ororoe Monroe as Storm, and lastly, the recasted T'Challa Black Panther but we still haven't seen his face. He joins the fight against Namor and we get a brief group fight scene straight out of a comic panel. T'Challa finally reveals the truth to Namor, and reveals he was tricked. Namor stands down, but Wakanda post-conflict doesn't have the manpower to oppose Atlantis currently due to the massive loss of life in the struggle. So they just let him go. Shuri is made Queen after proving herself, and then finally, T'Challa's Black Panther has a moment with Shuri's Black Panther and he removes his helmet to tell her how proud he is of her, and to step down as Black Panther, moving to an advisory position in Wakanda and showing up more in the Disney+ shows than the movies unless it's in a supporting role. This is all meant to close the chapter on Chadwick Boseman's portrayal of Black Panther, give us a new Black Panther in Shuri, and a form of Black Panther in White Wolf, introduce Storm, Namor, and a new villain in the MCU, and then softly reset the franchise with the recast earning his place amongst the current MCU gods. You build him up, adapt the Doom War storyline, then finally, you make him Black Panther again but he's the Black Panther of Necropolis and he's earned that position through the shows and films since Chadwick Boseman's passing. I think it'll feel so much more satisfying for the company and the audience. Plus, we'll get to see this version of T'Challa build and have an established relationship with Storm, The Fantastic Four specifically Reed Richards, he'll meet all the already established MCU character counterparts, and he is still technically part of the infinity saga story. It's the perfect arc for Black Panther in the MCU.

If MCU is doing things like the Atlantis War(s), Illuminatti, and the threat of Multiversal incursions, its all the more reason why they need to recast T'Challa! T'Challa himself, not whoever wears the Black Panther suit is essential to so many aspects of those storylines. Shuri may have her own part to play in those events but she can't play his! His initial disdain for the Illuminatti until things get so bad he reluctantly joins them. The initial kinship between him and Namor until they become bitter enemies. Their begrudging personal truce in light of the incursions, contrasted by their countrymen, like Shuri who want war... The MCU NEEDS T'CHALLA FOR THIS STUFF! I'll miss Chadwick Boseman and will probably always think of him when I see a BP movie; but those who can't/won't except the difference between the actor and the character are just going to have to get over it , or get the hell outta the way of the rest of us. I wanna see the mantle pass to Umbaku. Heres how it could happen. Since seeing his army LITERALLY snapped into dust in endgame, he's opened his mind about technology. Between that and the battle against killmonger, he forges a treaty with the rest of wakanda for the countries betterment. Shuri wouldn't challenge him cause shes not a fighter and no one else would cause.....well.....it's umbaku haha. The movies major story arc COULD be a war between atlantis and Wakanda, with a big battle at the end when Umbaku FINALLY takes the mantle. Maybe the council refuses, maybe HE initially refuses? Either way, i think thats how it shuld happen tbh.

The Sub-Mariner Namor has always been popular especially during the Golden Age of comics...somehow he got lost and Aquaman filled the bill...to which Aquaman was not that popular during the Silver age of comics but had a restart with Marvel...Namor supposed to have enormous strength and was able to fly too....will be a clash of underwater super heroes if Namor comes to the movie theaters...unfortunately Namor has a late start and it's only a matter of time before the public gets a little tired of all the super hero films...Comics today are to advanced for the young and getting expensive too....The Sub-Mariner should have been first in movies and not Aquaman.

Bushra Bandenawaz : These stories absolutely need T'Challa to be alive. T'Challa himself , not just somebody else in a BP suit, not even Shuri. But an entire movie "starring" the CGI of a departed actor, particularly one so recently, may be a bit creepy. And cinematically 'ressurecting' someone just to kill off one of their favored character's (especially one they intended to be continuing), seems downright ghoulishly exploitive. Just recast the part.

Jj Bknown : Namor predates Aquaman, by around two decades I think. But there was no MCU back then, it was just Marvel Comics. They're definitely from different universes, but they've met as part of two mass crossover events that I know of: they had a rigged fight against each other in WORLDS COLLIDE and fought together in AVENGERS💥JLA for a few panels. Seems someone might've wanted a crossover focused on them at some point, but if it happened I missed it or was so unimpressed I forgot about it. Maybe they just never had the popularity ($ales!) to warrant it.

Well namor is actually older than aquaman, he was the second marvel character ever created. Namor was created in 1939, aquaman was created in 1959. Also comic studios generally do this to make bank off of the success of already created characters. So they create similar styled characters with similar abilities or backstories. Namor is a more complex and well created character than aquaman in my opinion, but it’s all up to the viewers/readers interpretation of the characters.
