I practised this with my new hot air station on an eeprom chip and the solder wouldn't even melt lol,'so' frustrating, had my hot air station flat out!!Out of frustration ended up tearing off two pads by accident, solder just wouldn't melt and let me slide the eeprom off.

Why not read the eeprom/flash from the old CAS and write to the new one? Would there be issues reading because of the damaged part? Thanks Also why didn’t you use Sn63pb37 rework paste to place down the mcu back, it just needs to be heated-and it’s all soldered back up
