In this video I show you how to understand the concept of arduino functions. Today, I show how to pass parameters from the main loop and the function using local variables. I demonstrate this by a simple project where we control the brightness of an LED with a potentiometer. Enjoy!

Hey Mr !! I love your videos and thanks to you I’m learning arduino thru your lessons as a total beginner ! But I wanted to ask something, with your videos we learn everything about microcontrollers etc. Something I would love to see from you (because you’re the best teacher out there) is a playlist where you teach all of us to convert a prototype into something more permanent, a PCB or a circuit board where we’ll learn how to do that. In these lessons you’ll take everything we’ve learned from your different playlists and combine it to make something !! Just an idea I had here on vacation watching your videos haha !! Hi Paul & Guys I don't know if anyone was interested in my video for Lesson 40 when I showed how to use the heart shaped blob of solder on the back of the board. Larry have I ever run out of R4 lessons? I just cant switch back and forth easily from micropython to arduino. So, I have the videos made for the pico all the way out to the end of the year, and now am switching back to making lessons for the R4. Thanks!

Why don't you use the MAP function?

Because the whole point of the lesson was to teach math, and how it allows solving important problems. If you dont know the math, what will you do when you dont have a map function to help you?
