MDLR, the regulation is 14' for the smacks based on nose to tip, not fork length. I recall fork lengths are used for federal waters.

Former US Navy guy, so as another Veteran I'd luv to spend some hours on the water swapping stories. 400 bucks and get a used prowler 13 fully equipped usually or academy has them on sale for 450 new sometimes.Great kayak for the price unless you a big dude then it might be a little small.Im 5'11 and 180 and it's a perfect cheap kayak

I have a question. I just got a standard horizon radio hx890 and it says (radio will not transmit any DSC calls until own ships mmsi entered)how can i get that or will the radio still work to talk to other boaters or yakers with out the #?

Nice catches! Ever thought of tapping some of that energy from your lithium battery to charge your cam batteries or have some kind of relay to continue run on a dedicated source. You wouldn't ever rely on the cam batteries ever, just an idea. Stay safe and tight lines.

most definitely last the entire day. Only way to drain them is by putting the motor on full speed for two hours.

The one that comes with the kayak can’t be fitted into other kayaks. You can however buy a regular Minn Kota and mount one yourself. I’ve seen some pretty clean DIY’s out there on KZbin.
