#adultswim: I just watched them on FishCenter. They were surprisingly pretty damn good! Loved their style, a lot. Also enjoyed their “interview”, and they also had them play a “game” I guess you could call it that, haha. They were probably like what in the actual hell is this, lmaooo. I’m happy that FishCenter does stuff like this. Such a unique show, and band within itself. Now that I think about it, I wish FishCenter was on back in the OG adultswim days. I can only imagine what awesome bands they would of had on here. #MDOUMoctar

Right! A tall Bedouin guy from the Sahara plays a Stratocaster like no one did it before. And no picks! Herman Li, Jimmy Hendrix, Van Halen, and almost all other big shot guitarists can learn from this guy! And never plays this song the same way as before many times played! So, what his secret? Determination, poor living conditions,or just simple discipline?

@sketchbookessay3 жыл бұрын
Mikey, the bassist, is my brother. Before joining the band, he was playing in a DC-based Malian band for many years, so he developed a really good ear for West African music. How he got into the band was he offered to host them when they were on tour in the US. He was already a fan of Mdou's music, and learned some of his songs before that. They jammed and invited him to play a couple of shows. Then Mdou asked him to be his full time bassist. He then went to Agadez to really learn how to nail the Tuareg rock sound.
