Pink Floyd created atmosphere as well as music. Great props to Rick Wright for his contribution.

Gilmour's screaming guitar solo section in Part VI is the greatest thing in the whole Pink Floyd catalog, for my money. Makes my soul sing.

It’s such a jam, right?! This and One Of These Days! With some trimming and work, I honestly believe Atom Heart Mother could be one of the greatest pieces of music of all time. Hint hint at a reaction… 🤙

This particular young gentleman is building himself a reputation to be proud of and in doing so is gaining huge respect from older PF fans. Oh and there are millions of them, not all of them have seen him yet but when they do, Keep doing what you do young Sir I salute you.

With Pink Floyd EVERY instrument is a vocalist with its own lyrics. Pretty sure Shine on You Crazy Diamond must have inspired the entire Jean Michel Jarre album OXYGEN a much later electronic instrumental album
@philshorten32217 ай бұрын
BTW the last few notes Richard Wright plays on the keyboard is the riff from the much earlier Pink Floyd hit "See Emily Play" written by Syd Barrett

it took Pink Floyd just over 2 years to get past The Dark Side of the Moon, and completing this project was really hard. On one occasion Nick Mason fell asleep while Roger and Dave argued, woke up, said FFS and went back to sleep. The guys have often said, both Roger and Dave struggled with vocals for "Have A Cigar" but getting Roy Harper in was probably the interruption they needed as much as anything else.

A masterpiece. The last few minutes haven’t aged as well as the rest of the song (just my opinion, I thought that nearly 35 years ago when I first heard it as well), but i can still appreciate it. Most of this song sounds every bit as fresh now as it did in 1975

Syd appeared at the studio where Pink Floyd was recording & working on this very song. He was not recognized as he was clean shaven bald & also shaved eyebrows. He had a tooth brush in his mouth & carried a brown paper bag filled with candy. Each Floyd member has separate videos talking about Syd. That is where this was heard from Roger himself.

The last few notes in SOYCD were done by Richard wright as a tribute to Syd Barrett their founder and those notes come from the song written by Syd, "See Emily Play" which was their second hit in 1967. Richard Wright put those in there as kind of his personal Easter egg.

The best of Floyd. Better, darker, more experimental than the first parts, there is a lot to it. Right at the very end at the fade out, keyboardist Rick Wright plays the notes of the Syd Floyd hit “See Emily Play.” Best Floyd for me ❤

Great genuine reaction. The music mostly tells the story of Syds mental state except for the last part. Only pink floyd can pull off going from a funk into a lament.
