This tutorial contains two different methods to resolve the "Application not found" error message in Mail settings item in Windows Control Panel. The "Application not found" error, commonly is because you have installed the wrong Office version (32/64bit), or because you have not removed properly the previous Office version, before installing the new one.
Problem in details: When you try to open the "Mail setup - Outlook" settings (Email Accounts, Profiles, Data Files) from the "Mail" shortcut in control panel, you receive the "Application not found" error and the "Mail Setup" settings doesn't open.
Microsoft improved a lot its built-in mail app in Windows 10. But even in the improved version, some people are reporting that they’re unable to receive emails or even open the app.
So, I prepared a couple of solutions, which, I hope, will be enough for solving the Windows 10 Mail problem.
Not being able to run Mail app can be a big problem, and users reported the following issues as well:
Windows 10 Mail app not opening - Many users reported that Mail app won’t open at all due to this problem. If your Mail app is not launching, you might want to check some of our solutions.
Windows 10 Mail app not syncing - Another similar problem that occurs is the inability to sync your mailbox. This problem will make your Mail app almost unusable.
Windows 10 Mail app crashing - Many users also reported that their Mail application is frequently crashing. According to them, the application usually crashes on startup, so they are unable to use it.
Windows 10 Mail not receiving emails - Another common problem with the Mail app is the inability to receive emails. This can be a serious issue, but you should be able to solve it with our solutions.
Mail app is not working in Windows 10 keeps closing, crashing, shutting down - Another similar problem that users reported is frequent crashing of Mail app. According to users, the application keeps shutting down making users unable to read or send emails.
Mail app is not working in Windows 10 keeps freezing - Besides the inability to start the Mail app, many users also reported that their Mail app is freezing. According to them, they are getting stuck on a splash screen, so they have to manually end the application.
Mail app not updating - Many users reported that they aren’t able to update their Mail app at all. With the inability to access the Mail app fixingthis problem might be difficult.
Mail app not starting Windows 10 - Common problem that also occurs is the inability to start the Mail app. According to users, it seems that Mail application crashes as soon as users try to launch it.

still having issues such as hanging, until you terminate it, if you reset it you have to re-configure the user accounts and after a while, it still does, i even reformatted the system and installed a fresh windows 10 on it to factory settings and began the whole process but it itill has same issue, i am seeking for help, more help, can you assist me

Low level Microsoft’s engineers harassing users trying to get them to buy another inferior product like overprice Office... They have no clue that some are actually investors and/or customers to perhaps know about system architecture. This old hardware tech will soon disappear like typewriters, boom boxes, consoles, 4k blu-ray players, and etc. If anything these Microsoft employees are ruining the brand even more. Anyway, use Linux or Unix, I know, is alot harder since this operating system is convenient, meaning already installed and in the budget to clearance price range personal computers. So fight your intuition, get System 76 with the highest Linux distribution if you don’t have time to install and do blue collar tech stuff, want to deal with human interaction like customer service, and etc.
