I love how professional House was with the nuns. He was cranky but not sarcastic to them and answered the sister’s questions in the beginning. He even freaked out when she died. He gained the nun’s trust and proved even he doesn’t want a nun’s death on his hands. After the symptoms worsen though… he became his usual self. 😂 His “Sacred skunk of Joseph” line still kills me.

@@wusscake In my option The only time House really isn't a jerk is when he is dealing with kids and babies of course with teens it depends on the issue as he was very kind in his own way with the 12 year old girl that was bleeding into her temporal lobe and he figured out that she was pregnant. Although he does go full blown jerk on anti Vaxxers which I love when he does that.

@@ArathursExactly. And a botched abortion like 20 years earlier wouldn’t cause what happened here. Especially if no one even knew there was ever an IUD there. Not many people totally forget they have an IUD if they knew they had one inserted, so the fact that the patient straight up forgot means the other nuns likely didn’t know either. And just knowing that someone had an abortion 20 years ago doesn’t exactly indicate that said person may still have a copper IUD from the time of the abortion that they’d literally never mentioned, including during any of the multiple medical surveys she inevitably had to fill out physically and verbally in the hospital. Everyone who thinks they know exactly what to do in an emergency and they’d save the day is delusional lol.

He dosent really interact with them; sometimes he does a sarcastic quip to one (who was asking for it with his own little quip), but generally he dosent deal with them enough to give them his “special” attention; his team act like his personal nurses.

There has not been a nurse who tried to do the thinking for him in this show. Thus, no collision. Because nurses very strictly follow doctors' orders, a good doctor and a nurse will almost never get into a conflict. Doctors typically take full responsibility during the course of the medical care. Also when it comes to kids and care he fights full on for them. My favorite was with the Anti-vaxx mom and he scared her full on with the truth. The 12 year old girl that was pregnant as well he was caring to her and wasn't his normal jerkish self. As well as the girl that was trying to get birth control and mess up her mother's meds to get them in a not threatening way. House could speak some Mandarin and told the mom that her daughter was pregnant which she really wasn't but it was meant to teach the daughter not to lie or mess with meds.

I used to get mosquito bites as a kid. The usual itchiness and a bit of redness but a few summers ago where I was in a rural area without any repellant on, I got over 50 bites after that day after spending a couple of decades in a city. The bites turned into these huge round welts and I wasn't feeling well so my parents gave me some anti-histamine cream to soothe and I'm allergic to mosquitoes.

I know this is fiction, but it never ceases to amaze me that people don’t realize there are plenty of legitimate reasons women are prescribed forms if birth control that have nothing to do with preventing pregnancy. For example, I have been prescribed it for endometriosis. I know multiple people who take various forms for migraines, which really sucked when they wanted to get pregnant because they had to go back to the migraines. There is literally no reason to lie about taking birth control, because even those who are taking it to prevent pregnancy wouldn’t have to disclose WHY they are taking it. I know in this case it was more forgotten because of how old the procedure was, but still in principle the point still stands.

@@genxx2724 well, yes. But..not all fertilised eggs will attach anyway, 15% being lost. 50% of those that attach are lost almost straight away. 1/3 of those don't develop beyond a month, being lost when the uterine lining sheds (when a woman next mensturates) So (approximately) 75 % of fertilised eggs never truly develop into a fetus. Which doesn't even take into account later miscarriage, as far as l made out. I knew the figures were high, but your comment made me go check. These come from:- ncbi.nim.nihgove National Library of Medicine I don't know if preventing attachment is a particularly bad idea, other than if it increases the possibility of an ectopic pregnancy ? I'd have to check the figures for that 😁.

@@helentee9863 I explicitly said, “I know in this case it was more forgotten.” I’m talking about the principle. And while she definitely never lied, the OTHER nun says she would have said something if she thought it was relevant. This suggests that the other nun actually did know and didn’t say anything because SHE thought that telling the doctor about the IUD would somehow be disloyal. So yes, in 99% of cases it would be the person themselves not saying anything, but in this case it was someone else not saying anything. Also, not saying anything to a doctor about a major past medical procedure because you have decided you don’t want judgment isn’t usually a lie of commission unless the doctor asks you point blank about the procedure. For most people it is usually a lie of omission. But a lie of omission is still a kind of lie, and especially when it comes to professionals like Doctors, lies of omission can have very serious consequences including death.

lol you would think doctors would close the blinds when something like this happens so shocked onlookers couldnt watch their loved ones dying and being interbated.

When you use your epipen, you are flirting with ventricular tachycardia. You HAVE to call an ambulance. Ergo, epinephren tends to cause tachycardia, like you need the defib tachycardia.

If she was in anaphylaxis again, her throat would have been so swollen shut that intubating wouldnt have been that easy. Throat closing off caused her inability to breathe. A trache would have been necessary.

In Canada, solid copper pots are illegal. I mean, you could probably own one, but stores can't sell them. They have to be lined with steel or some such. Something to do with copper going toxic when it starts to break down.

Certain foods also react with the copper while cooking which also makes it toxic.

I'm an ICU nurse - when a person is having a seizure it is most important to use something to prevent them from biting their tongue if at all possible - in the hospital she would have a special stick in her room for this - also , if not breathingt you MUST insert an airway and breathe for them, as they simulated doing on the video.
