What an enjoyable video and it's so cool to see you and your daughter enjoying yourselves. This is what parenting is about. Sharing moments like this.

this is one of the better vids,I'm thinking.Here in NC,I have a spot where the gills are very big(two hands,and sometimes better.I use this very technique you are teaching here.What I di is,use a whole nightcrawler,on a no.2 baitholder,and mount it like one would a plastic worm with no weight. Let the fun begin!!

great video! that was a huge green sunfish in the middle!

Kris, I think Isabel out-fished you, huh? You showed here how effective it is to simply walk the shoreline while using a simple hook and worm. I love the simplicity. Both the water and the sky were beautifully blue, so I know you enjoyed the weather too. Very instructive and entertaining my friend! All the best to you and yours!

Juanelo1946 Thank you Juanelo! After I learned this simple technique, my tackle box shrank significantly. It was a wonderful time on the lake with the family.

The way you fish, you might be interested in cane pole fishing. I have a telescoping one that goes out to about 14 feet long. I like it. No reel, just tie the line to the end, toss out the hook, and jig, or sweep side to side. Google; Crappy cane pole, or Catfish cane pole to check them out. Lake's getting low isn't it? I live nearby.

@muddyrivercatfishing10 жыл бұрын
Queen Day yes, most people fish for catfish with some type of live or dead bait, but they are also known to go after lures as well. Jigs, crank baits, spoons, etc.

hey kris, just wondering have you ever fished tingley beach? just curious what your thoughts on it are. i live in burque and don't drive so i can't really get to great places like this...one day i'll fish the butte tho.
@muddyrivercatfishing8 жыл бұрын
I haven't fished there yet. I hadn't even heard about it until recently. I'd like to get out there one day
@kewlbns698 жыл бұрын
muddyrivercatfishing only been there myself a couple times. only advice i'd give ya is to get there as early as you can. they open the park pretty much when the sun comes up and stay open till sun down....it can get really crowded pretty fast depending on the day you go. it's a good size pond but nothing near "the butte" big. maybe skip saturday all together or you might end up signing autographs the entire time haha! ;)
