Any time I listen to her sing this song I hear and see the emotion falling down my face. I think the greatest thing I will cherish today is a live show of Dolly on stage. It will be a dream come. I am in United States now as I write this in Maryland this day 07/07/22

Kitty Wells is the queen of Country Music, but I think Dolly Parton is the voice of Country Music IMO. Her voice and songs have that true down home sound and story.

If I’m not mistaken she wrote this song as a warning to her neighbours who used to leave their little kids at home to go out partying. It is not based on a true story though

Is it really appropriate to sing this to CHILDREN??? What WAS she thinking? I guess she wasn't...
@RatTrap19672 жыл бұрын
Well of course she was thinking...without a brain...she wouldn't have been able to write this beautiful song. No offense but...kids these days are murdering each other & learning critical race theory in school. As well as gender equality...a bunch of new pronouns... With all due respect....does it really matter whether it was appropriate or not?? That song was released April 4, 1980. FORTY TWO years ago. It's too late...done deal.
