Trottie was spot on (as usual) that Piers needs to release the club. It looked like teeing it high helped with it. I want to see a hard, hard release starting at about P6, a la Freddie. Seems like it would help his club head/ball speed. Great content, Trottie. Respect!

Hi Trottie, I have a fitter question, hoping maybe you could answer for me. Attended one of the TM free fitting event in Atlanta last year. Was fitted for a Stealth with the standard Ventus Red 5 S. Due to budget. I ended up with Sim 2 Max ventus blue 5 S. However, I feel like it just doesn't do me any good lol. If I swapped the Sim 2 shaft with the Stealth shaft, will it be better? Thanks
@trottiegolf Жыл бұрын
Different balance points and maybe (don’t quote me) different lengths. Just double check swing weights & lengths and go from there, it can work but you need to check the details first.
@kurtblasser Жыл бұрын
For those with less swing speed, say 95 mph with driver, what is the window for launch angle, spin rates, and peak height, or are they relatively similar?
@trottiegolf Жыл бұрын
It moves based on the speed. Slower speeds need more spin to maximize carry. Hence why the fitting process is clutch
@deadlymantis4210 Жыл бұрын
Why would you fit irons off tee like Piers at the start ?

It is a Driver fitting so I would guess that he is warming up with shorter clubs, but in an off the tee scenario.

The old bubble driver was the best I ever had of course I was younger. Now playing a Ping G425 and wish I had gone for a Taylormade product, but you’ve got to live with your bad decisions for a few years mainly because of he astronomical prices.

Hi Trottie. Just a quick question. If piers swing path is out to in. Could you go up in swngweight to make his path more from the inside without changing swing mechanics?

It certainly wasn’t in the case of Andy. I’d say head to their channel to see how that went. Truth be told Piers wasn’t driving it very well last year so not a fair fight, as this was actually easy to beat his previous driver

So much data in that fitting....for those that have a ability to DECODE it. Hence, it was about hitting key numbers vs all out DISTANCE. Just because you hit a bill 300+ yards on the monitor...it does not mean it was a good it. Case in point, all those shot with sub 80' high, would kill the player on uphill fairways!
