He didn't even spend much time developing the game. Most of the assets in the game are free from the unity asset store. I'm pretty sure that the player models are custom made however the maps, the animations and the scripts weren't made by the dev. Saying that he spent over a month on this is an insult. You can pretty much save £10 (or however much this poo costs) by going into the unity asset store and dragging in a bunch of free assets into a scene.

I disagree with you about there only being one route. I usually found myself using the physics in the game to gain an advantage and use that to do another route which gave me either more time or was easier. If you cancel your lunge mid air you will fly in the direction the lunge was at the point of when you canceled it. This causes you to fly forwards and further up than if you finished the lunge. Of course this is not intended I believe, but it still gave new opportunities for saving Rump.

I don't understand why people defend this game, there was a Mr. President made years ago by the same creator. All this is is that they made a trump model, slightly polished the graphics, and put a $5 price tag on it. The ONLY reason this sold copies is le drumpf xd and le wacky fisics. Yes, I do (attempt to) develop games, and I'm well aware that most developers will make every graphic, every event, everything in the game by hand. But most of the assets were bought from the Unity store, the physics engine messy and most features bare bones. Now, I don't program in any language - Construct 2 fits my needs perfectly - but there is very little to be programmed in this game. Most of it is the bodyguard's physics, which seem very similar to a lot of other "wacky unity physics games", so that's probably stock, as well. Yes, most developers will put serious time, effort and love into their games, and I respect them for that, but I can't say that a game that's mostly been bought from the Asset Store or is just using the stock, buggy physics engine and calling it a day is "high-effort". At the end of the day, this game was fine - when it was free. When something is free, you can't really hold too many standards. This game was $5, and I just can't forgive it for being so low-quality. A silly game it is, but a shitty one, as well.

You should watch your own Gamemaking Journey Video about other games which took less time to produce, but have more success. I don't think this game is bad, it's just a Genre which you don't like. Octodad, goat simulator, surgeon simulator and I am Bread all have a similar approach having fun with derpy physics. Even Garry's Mod or GTA are very popular and many people like that game because of being god and play with overpowered or underpowered physics.

I think it's more of a take on the playground game "Get Down Mr. President" where a group of friends put their finger to their ear like they're talking on an ear piece, then shout "GET DOWN MR. My biggest problem with this game isn't that it's making a "political statement", it's that its "political statement" is both 1) so incredibly cliche and uninformed that I wouldn't be surprised if the developer couldn't point out the US on a map, nor name anything about Trump besides "wall" and "China", and 2) is all jokes that left-wing news outlets have been making since the fucking day Trump announced he would run. There is enough awful, awful shit about BOTH candidates (or former candidate and president-elect, now) that you shouldn't ever have to steal jokes to make fun of them. honestly it looks like fun :) and thats almost all that matters. yesterday i played with a friend cs:go inferno only with knife and nades and you can spend hours with that , its really funny and it doesnt need much to be fun. H1z1 on the other side is a so called "Early access alpha" (which is a lie imo) the developers create a shitty game and always add new skin gambling crates in an alpha. they sell the game and then split the game into two games, they remove roadmap and every patch taht comes after months includes almsot nothing and so many people still playing it.
