What a nightmare! At least you saw your daughters. Love your esti Angela! I made that new look jumpsuit about 4 years ago and never wore it because i couldnt undo the zip to go to the loo lol. Yours looks amazing but good point about travelling in a jumpsuit.

Love the blue jumpsuit in HaleyJane fabric…but what a story! And the blue/white pants are so cute & better for long car trips. Ha! It can feel so good to cry and soothe ourselves with chocolate! Your husband must be a good guy….disappointed but forgiving.

I think that colorful floral shirt dress would look sooo good with the sleeves shortened to a classic tshirt length. It's worth trying to save, I'd say. I love the fabric.

I was going to say the same I recently made a shirt dress which was button through (not a lyra) and it has same sleeves... but when I put it on. it feels weird... mine reminds me of my gran's 'housecoat'!!! its weird how much difference an inch or two off a sleeve makes!! (or that could just be me!!). I have made 3 Lyras... with long sleeves which i turn up

I feel the same about the Lyra dress , I’ve made one in babycord , one in chambray, one in viscose and honestly I really don’t feel good in any of them so I definitely won’t be making any more I just think it’s such a difficult style for me to wear. I loved all your outfits and your vlogs have been excellent x

The floral Lyra shirt dress is gorgeous on you! The colours are beautiful. I too don’t go for oversized as I don’t think it suits my body shape. I gave a myosotis dress which had a similar feel/ look but it’s perfect for the v hot weather! ( if we actually get some!!)

Hi! I'm a new subscriber and I live in the US. I really love your makes and upbeat, energetic personality. I'm looking forward to getting better acquainted with your channel. We seem to share a similar style, but I find it incredible how the same outfit can look so different on 2 women who share the same measurements - as you and I do, but have a 3 inch height difference - I'm 5'3", on a good day ;-). Your jumpsuits and trousers look so elegant and lovely on you but make me feel frumpy. Enjoy those extra 3 inches!

Hi Angela great vlog and please do a Me Made Autumn one! I think you look amazing in your New Look jumpsuit. A fitted bodice and waist looks great on you. With your figure, I wouldn’t wear the baggy shirt dress although I’m sure it would be wonderful on someone else. You’ve got the legs for the short coco and it’s purely down to you and no one else whether you feel comfortable in it! I got caught up in the same M4 traffic jam, arrived home three and a half hours late, having missed an appointment - lesson I had learnt and mercifully put into practice before setting off : go to the loo, buy a sandwich, take a mini flask of coffee, download Taylor Swift Eras Tour playlist (in readiness for concert in Cardiff next month) and have sweets in car. Return home and have large glass of wine and a rant, then be happy to be safe and feel sorry for those affected! Btw big heads up for the emergency services and the mostly sensible other patient drivers on the road. So glad you got to see two of your daughters! ❤

As usual, I’m not waiting to comment because I’m impatient, so you might do this, but I wear a RTW belt with my Lyras and I really like it as it pulls in my waist and I think it looks less ‘homemade’ (not that that’s a bad thing!) than a tie belt.

Hi, love the Este set on you, very stylish. Not sure about the shirt dress, the collar didn’t seem to sit well and it was as you said oversized on you, however day 3 was spot on, loved the jumpsuit and complemented your figure (lucky you!). However the travel sounded a nightmare, glad you got home safely in the end. As before so enjoying this series and look forward to a bumper 6 days next week ❤

What is it about the M4? I went from Sussex to Barry a month ago and a journey which should have taken 4 hours maximum took nearly 8! I really feel your pain - oh and thank goodness I didn't wear a jumpsuit 😂. I really like all your makes - especially the esti set. It's a real shame you had to miss the concert.

I wonder if you would like the Lyra better if you shortened the sleeves. I feel like that length of sleeves feels wrong to me when its on an oversized garment. Maybe even roll them up? Something to think about anyway.

Maybe if you just to above the knee and the shorter sleeve. Maybe it makes you feel a bit older in it. And I hasten to add your not. I'm 60 this year and often have a dress just above my knee I'm size 10 and like you don't feel right in some dresses. Feel free to keep in touch.

You look great in shorter length dresses, truly. You asked about the shirt dress. You looked fabulous in the Este set and the jumpsuit, although I felt for you on the car journey. I have been in that situation and it was no fun at all. The trousers and blouse are lovely, too. The Coco is a pattern I have owned for a long time, but never made up, it’s just not the right shape for me, however on you it looks terrific. I don’t feel the shirt dress did anything for you. There’s just too much fabric swamping you. It looks OK with the tie belt, but not so great without, although it’s about how you feel in it and I appreciate that it could be cool and comfortable on a hot day. Having said that, personally, I don’t find shirt collars to be cool, I prefer a lower or more open neckline if it’s hot weather. Maybe that’s just me. I have enjoyed your Me Made May vlogs and your wardrobe analysis. It’s something I should do, rather than leaving my wardrobe stuffed with garments I never wear and making clothes because I like the pattern and/or fabric, rather than considering what I actually need and suits my life style. You have been an education in this respect and yes, please do repeat it in the autumn.
